After getting changed i made my way to the sports hall. I of course took one of my books to read in case i accidentally 'injured' myself in whatever sport we were playing, and would have to sit out. Although i do suspect that we will be doing something different today, because we are meant to be in English right now, but nonetheless i was adamant that i was going to read my book. As i reached the sports hall, there was a lady (who I've never seen before) wearing a weird looking uniform making sure everyone was lining up against the wall outside and were not looking inside the hall. I was the last to reach the sports hall, so i smiled at the lady and joined the back of the queue mirroring everyone else. As i looked back at her, i saw the lady scoff as if i didn't have enough respect to smile at her. I tried to ignore the embarrassment of this hoping no one saw and put my head back in my book.

One by one i saw my peers enter the hall and come back out within 10 minutes. The thing that worried me was that everyone came out looking angry or as if they had been crying. This made me weary of what was happening in there.

After about 50 minutes i had finished my book and was waiting to go in. I was hoping that Sam, the boy who was in front of me would hurry up, because i did not want to miss any of my recess. I like to spend my recess in the library so you can see why i wanted to get there as soon as possible. And, just like that my thoughts were broken by Sam exiting the hall looking very angry and hurt. He was limping!

Just as Sam turned the corner, the lady in the weird looking uniform came out "Please enter the sports hall, stand in front of the people inside and state you name and age. They will tell you what to do, okay?" I nodded as she followed into the sports hall behind me.

I placed my book down on a bench and made my way into the centre of the hall where 4 people were, including that weird lady were. I stood in front of them and stated emotionless "My name is Emma Holland-Evans and I'm 16 years old". The tallest man, who wore a eye patch, long leather black coat, was dark and bald wrote this on a clipboard. The weird lady had her black/brownish hair slicked back into a tight bun. The shortest man had a glowing arc right in the centre of his chest which was easily visible through his t-shirt. He had brown hair that was slicked slightly on a tilt. The last person in the room had very vibrant red hair with green eyes that had the same vibrancy. She was the only one that smiled at me, i replied with a quick smirk.

The tallest man bleated "You must complete this obstacle course, do 50 punches, 100 kicks on the punching bag and 75 chin ups on the chin up bar as fast as you can. We will record your time so give it your best shot. There are lasers on the obstacle course but they are not real. If you get hit with 5 lasers you will immediately stop, okay?

I looked over at the obstacle course, and saw the lasers. I immediately chuckled as i could immediately tell that they were real, and that's why everyone came out angry and hurt. Angry, because these people lied about the lasers and hurt, because they got hit with freaking lasers! The shortest man asked me why i was laughing and i simply stated "well it's pretty obvious that you people are using real lasers, i mean it's very obvious with them being under a direct light source. Also, will our results be confidential?" These people all looked at me like i had just been killed, but the shortest man just responded with "Let me guess, you don't want people to find out how badly you did. Am i right!? I looked down and said nothing. I could feel anger building up inside of me, so i decided that i was going to do my very best to prove this weirdo wrong. "And that's what i thought" he stated.

"Ignore this idiot. Yes your results are confidential but just try your best, okay?" The red head said. I smiled and made my way to their obstacle course

"And begin" the tallest man shouted. And just like that i was avoiding all the lasers whilst still making my way through the course. I made my way through the course with ease and finished it in about 39 seconds. I then managed to finish my punches and kicks in just under 1 minute. And to top it all of i did my chin ups in about a minute and a half. But before i could even get down from the chin up bar an automated voice shouted "COMPLETED IN
2 MINUTES 59 SECONDS"

I then descended the bar and walked over to the people. They looked absolutely astounded. I then replied to the man "No, I'm not worried about them finding out how badly i did" i smirked and went over to get my book. As i was leaving somebody burst into the room which shook the other people out of their trance. I looked up and saw the librarian. I loved the librarian, she was super sweet but i was wondering what she was doing in here.

"Emma, here you are. I thought something had happened, you are never late to the library during recess! Anyway I'm here because I'm super happy to tell you that i managed to get that book you wanted!" I smiled ecstatically at her and ran through the hall doors and made my way to the library with the librarian following not far behind me. She did apologise to the people about taking me from them "i am so sorry about taking Emma from whatever you were doing, but it is recess and she and i am just really excited". I don't think the people had yet to recover from their trance yet though.

As i reached the library, i turned on my heels asking the out of breath librarian where the book was. She pointed to the massive book on one of the tables. I gave her a hug (which I haven't done since i was 9, so you can't tell that we have a close bond. I mean i spend my recesses, lunch break and time after school with her in the library!) and ran over to the book starting to read it as soon as possible
