6. the boys

"Yes mam" the four of them replied before taking seats beside me I don't even look up to see who is sitting where

Halfway through the day it's now lunch and I managed to avoid the boys so far, it was hard considering I have a class with at least one or all of them together, but something tells me that I won't be getting rid of them any time soon

As it was lunch and I forgot to pack my lunch in a hurry to pack Emma's and Noah's things I decided to go to the library as if Em sees me with no lunch she will be my mom for the day

I quickly sent her a text saying I will be in the library if she needs anything to which she replied positive and I then went to the library

As I enter the library, I notice that it is very big and maintained from my old school's one

I decided to read the book, Romeo and Juliet, from where our literature teacher stopped and take more notes on the story

And I finally got the book after searching for five minutes

As I was taking notes, I feel a presence next to me I look up to see the boys covering my table

I sigh

"Yes?" I ask no one

"explain," blue eyes says taking the seat next to me followed by the other three

"I am sorry what?" I ask

"Explain everything" brown eyes say

"I still don't get what you want me to explain," I say having a clear idea of what is going on

"Fine then we ask questions and you answer," green eyes say

"I am sorry but I don't want to answer any questions and as far as I am concerned, I don't even know your names" I spat

"James" blue eyes said

"Chris" green eyes

"Charlie" brown eyes

"Oscar" now that I look at him, he has electric blue eyes and blond hair

"..." was my reaction

"Question 1 what are you doing here?" James asked

"Reading in the library until 4 idiots decided to interrupt" I reply with sass

"Smart reply" Oscar commented

"You know that's not what he meant," Chris asked

"I don't know"

"Fine, where is your son?" Chris asked again

"None of your concern," I say

"Who was that girl who was bleeding?" Charlie asked

"Personal info" I reply

"How and why are you here? Last time I saw you, you were five hours away from here" James asked again

"Private info," I said with a sweet smile

"don't you know how to reply to any question straight?" Chris asked

"I did reply to every question did I not?" I ask innocently

"I like you; you are smart and did not drool on us like every other girl," Oscar said

"Thank you and for your information, I've seen better" I lie

"You are epic," Chris says

I was about to say something but the bell rang

"And that's my cue to leave ducks," I say and pack my thing and leave

"Did she just call us ducks?" I hear James yell before I go full out

To my unluck, I have my next class with all four of them I groan and take my seat at the last row followed by them

This is how it went for the rest of my classes too

Halfway through the fifth class, we hear the class intercom say

"Rose Forbes and James Jackson in my office, I repeat, Rose Forbes and James Jackson in my office now"

I and James look at each other

"What did you both do without involving me?" Chris whined

"Both of you were there with us the whole day and you didn't do anything," Charlie says and I nod

We then left the class taking the pass from the teacher but all the four boys came instead of just James

As we enter the office, I see Emma standing there with another boy in front of the principal's table

I raise a brow at her and she looked down in guilt? I frown
you called us sir?" I ask

"Yes, but first I would like to know why Is there your information in the place of her guardian? Where are your parents?" he asked

"Our parents are always on business tours so I am the one who does all the things, you can speak with me and consider it reached our parent's sir," I said in a professional tone

Everyone in the room were shocked including Emma as she never saw this side of me, all she saw was a loving and caring mom

"Ok so the reason I call you in was Emma and Harry here got in a fight in the corridor," Mr. stone says

"Mom it was not my fault he was the one who started it I swear" Em explained and I know however out of control she goes she never lies to me

Everyone was shocked by her calling me mom but decided not to ask questions

"I believe Emma will never start a fight sir I request to watch the footage," I said t Mr. stone

"Why to watch the footage isn't this enough?" the boy Harry asked pointing his red cheek which I believe Emma slapped him

"Harry, what happened?" James asked him

"I was just walking and she slapped me out of nowhere and when I asked her why she shouted at me and I shouted back," Harry said

"DO NOT LIE" Emma shout

"Emma Forbes. you do not shout at others, apologise. now" I say

"But mom he lied..." "I said apologies" I cut her off

"I am sorry for yelling at you," she said not meaning it but I am not forcing her more

"And Harry if I found out you were lying, I believe you owe a double apology to Emma" I saw looking at him

Making him nod in fear

"The footage sir," Oscar said, and then Mr. stone played the camera footage where we could see Harry messing with her which resulted in Emma slapping her

At the end of the video, I was livid

I went straight to Harry grabbed him by his collar

"You do not mess with any girl without her consent you get that?" I said in a tone which he dares to disobey

"Yes mam" he replied

"Good now apologize to her," I said releasing him

"I am sorry Emma; I won't do it again," Harry said

"It's ok just remember," Emma said

"I am sorry for his, behaviour Emma, I will make sure my brother will be delt by our parents, I apologize again Emma and Mr. stone," James said

So, they are brothers

"Now the issue is solved I want everyone out of my office except for Rose, I want to speak with her alone," Mr. stone said
