"Alright that's better just aim a bit lower now." Robb told her little brother Bran. He shot and it missed high again, the eighth time in a row. "Here let me show you how to do it." That's when Lyanna Stark decided to play a little trick on her brother.

Robb lifted his bow arm to point at the target. Just as he was about to shoot Lyanna released her own and hit the target right in the middle startling Robb. His bow arm jerked up sending his arrow into the trees. Lyanna stood there laughing and clutching her stomach at the look on her brothers face.

"What was that for!" He laughed back.

"You were trying to act wise and experienced like you were already a Lord. I just wanted to get rid of the arrogance that shouldn't be there Robb. Or should I call you Lord Robert of Winterfell?" She told him in a mocking tone, still laughing a bit.

He looked a bit hurt but that soon turned into a smile when he started chasing her around the courtyard. She squealed quite unladylike before turning to run away. Bran was laughing and Jon only stood there looking amused.

She ran in her breeches and tunic until she her the sharp annoyed cry if her mother.

"Lyanna Stark! What are you doing running around like a child? And why are you in that?" She gestured to the breeches.

"I was just showing Robb how to shoot an arrow and he decided to chase me around." She replied indignantly.

"Ladies are not to be shooting arrows and playing with swords you know that Lyanna." Her mother replied.

"But everything else is boring! I can make stitches and do my own hair! Why can't you allow me this?" She gave her mother her pleading eyes that always convinced her.

"You are much too like her Lyanna." Her father, Ned, told her walking towards them.

"Father." Lyanna bowed her head to him.

"I want you to gather up your brothers and sisters in the great hall. There is some...news." Her father told her not sure how to finish the sentence.

"Alright father." Lyanna turned to gather up her siblings. It took her quite a time trying to find Arya, but she found her hiding in the stables with her favorite horse, lilac.

After everyone was gathered up Lyanna led them into the great hall where her father was seated at the head table. They took their seats and waited for father to continue.

"You may wonder why I have gathered everyone into here right now. We have had a letter from the King. It seems that he feels the needs to visit after nine years back in the Capitol. He will be here within a month and we need to prepare. Boys I expect you to be respectful and courteous to them. Girls I expect you to be in your finest and on your best behavior." He looked pointedly and Lyanna and Arya. "We will show the royal family what it means to be a Stark." He finished with a smile on his face.

This news worried Lyanna more than anything. She had heard rumors and stories of the cruel ways the queen and her son, Jofferey, treated others. She had also heard about the Kings whoring and drinking which disgusted her. How could someone like that be King?

"Lyanna." Her father called to her.

"Yes father?"

"Be careful when the family is here. Robert is...unpredictable and Cersei is quite a jealous woman."

Lyanna knew what he was saying. She looked almost exactly like her late aunt Lyanna, her namesake. She was the new warrior princess and northern beauty. Everybody knew how in love Robert was with Lyanna, he had started a war for her. She had to be careful around him or things might get ugly. Cersei may not be able to track the whores and kill them but she could find a way Lyanna committed treason and kill her.

Lyanna walked back to her chambers to prepare for dinner. She thought about what was going to happen and what could happen. She thought of the potential danger she was in. The only way they can hurt me is if they get inside my head she thought.

Better to take the bull by the horns.
