"Because I know you prefer pancakes or waffles over savoury things on a Sunday. There were no waffles and the pancakes were almost gone so I served you up some before they went. You don't like pumpkin juice which is why yours is orange juice, I only gave you the extra ripe blueberries because you hate the soft ones. You also like loads of syrup which is why there's an extra bowl of it because I knew it would get used up but I wanted to draw a smiley face with it as well." He told her. She could've sworn she would've swooned right then and there, he had remembered all that about her.

Those small little details, he had remembered all of them. Tilly's words got caught up in her mouth as she struggled to muster up a reply to him, the way he sat staring so sweetly at her face. Those damn eyes. The way his pupils dilated when she finally smiled. It wasn't the toothy grin he loved to dearly, but a small one is all he really desired.

"Thank you" she chewed the inside of her cheek as she slowly tore her eyes away from the pretty boy sat beside her. How was he capable of such meaningful and thoughtful things?

"What have you got planned for today?" Blaise asked Tilly who just finished a bit of Berry and pancake.

"Not much" she shrugged.

"Well do you wanna do something with all of us today? You could bring Ophelia, we're due for some catching up-" Blaise droned on for a short while about wanting to spend time together. Tilly didn't really listen much, mornings to her were about peace and quiet, she zoned out the sound of Blaise's voice. Instead cherishing the small brushed of Theo's elbows against hers whenever he moved slightly.

As Blaise rambled on, Theo glared right down at his plate where he had stabbed his fork into a sausage. 'How has this fucking idiot forgotten about how much she hates long morning conversations?' Theo thought to himself. Such a fucking idiot.

After breakfast, the group decided to meet back by the Black Lake as it was a nice day. They met back near midday with a couple picnic blankets, some snacks and food taken from the great hall and a fair few bottles of apple cider. Ophelia brought along her muggle speaker and played light-hearted summer tunes.

They stayed out all day, playing card games and laughing around. Theo even managed to get a laugh from Tilly at one of his stupid jokes. They were currently playing a game of 'stuck in the mud' with Theo as the 'it-er'.

"Stuck!"

"Stuck!"

"Unstuck!"

"Stuck!"

"Stuck!"

It was now just Tilly running from him, she darted around away from him. He was hot on her tail but she was just out of reach.

"Give up!" He called from behind her.

"And let you win? No chance Nott" she cackled.

"Still Nott am I?"

"Yep, you haven't worked hard enough"

"We'll see" he smirked before reaching out and halting her running to pull her into his front by her hips. She let out a squeal as they then tumbled onto the grass. They rolled a few times before stopping finally, Theo's elbow rest by the side of her face propping himself up. Her hand was on his chest while their legs were tangled up.

"Shit" she whispered as her face broke into a smile.

"Shit indeed" he replied just as quiet.

His eyes flickered down to her lips where her bottom one was trapped between her teeth, back up to her eyes that gazed back into his. Right in that moment where she lay trapped beneath him, he swore he felt something far stronger than he had before. From the way her hair sprawled onto the grass to the way her cheeks were a light pink from spending a day in the sun.

Her eyes studied his face as if it were a work of art, every freckle a paint stroke. To her he was perfect, but she couldn't let him in just yet. She couldn't let him weasel back in just like that, she needed him to know that he had made a mistake. And he knew full well how stubborn she was. She was making him work to be back in her good books. But boy was he good at it.

Their faces were inches from one another, noses almost touching if they moved another inch. Being so close to each other after such a long time felt like comfort, like it was meant to be. From the spark that ignited on his skin where her delicate hand rest to the butterflies in her stomach, it was excitement. It was anticipation and tension. It was everything love was meant to be.

But surely that's not what this was? They were best friends. Yes they had kissed once. Twice you idiot. But they had both convinced themselves that it meant nothing. I mean, they had both moved on to other people. Surely if they loved each other they would do anything to be together? They were fifteen when the kiss happened, emotions were running high and Tilly was being shipped off to another bloody school. Yes. That's it. It did mean nothing, they weren't in love. That's silly.

But why did it feel so right?

"Oi!" Draco's voice knocked the two of them out of their bubble. "Are you done fucking over there? Is the game over?!"

Tilly blushed a deep scarlet at the intimate thoughts of such activities. Theo's breath hitched in his throat before he quickly cleared it and climbed off of her. He brushed his jeans and shirt off and held out his hand for Tilly. She thankfully took it, but not without being pulled flush against Theo's muscular chest.

"Stuck" he whispered against the skin of her neck and strolled away from her frozen figure.
