Connor: Also, if you tell anyone i helped you today, youre dead.

(also, Connor said that cause technically his parents think that when he goes to the forest he goes there to calm down and not converse with people. So if his parents found out he had helped Evan, Connor would probs get in trouble, and yea)

Hansen: Ok.

Connor didnt text anything after that. Evan figured it was probably because he was driving. Though his anxiety told him it was because Connor didnt want to talk to Evan, which he couldnt blame Connor for that. A silence filled the room.

"Once we get your cast on, im gonna need you to get Jared to take you home ok?"

"Ok mom"

Out of nowhere Evan heard his phone notification sound go off. He looked to see what it was and saw it was a text from connor.

4:20 pm

Connor: 4:20 B)

"Ok, that should be good, I'm gonna have you come back in about 6 weeks to see if the cast is ready to come off, and if not then we'll go another 2 weeks." The doctor paused, "and also try not to move it too much for a few days, so like dont go outside and stuff, try to stay inside."

"O-ok sir"

Evan used his right arm to lift himself out of the chair. And walked himself out of the hospital room. He made his way to the Elevator and rode it down to the lobby. Once in the lobbby he made his way to an empty chair. He pulled out his phone and went to Jareds contact.

5:15 pm

Evan <3: Hey Jared. Can you come pick me up? I'm at the Hospital right now.

Jared <3: holy shit ur alive. yea sure. Y r u at the hospital tho?

The 'holy shit ur alive" hit Evan hard. Evan knew Jared was joking, Jared always joked about Evan being dead when Evan didnt respond to texts. Still the thought that he could actually be dead right now. Or that he had intended to be dead right now. It was enough to make him cry.

Evan quickly wiped his tears with his arm and responded to Jareds text.

Evan <3: Yup. haha. Thank You :D. I broke my arm...

Jared <3: np ev :D. u broke ur arm? How??

Jared <3: also im on my way rn

Evan <3: I fell from a tree . .-.

Jared <3: u fell from a tree? wat r u, an acorn? Lolol

Evan <3: Yes Jared. I am an acorn.

Jared <3: well ur a very cute acorn ;D

Evan's face flushed. He can't imagine giving up Jared for anything. The tears returned. Why did he think jumping from that tree was a good idea? How could he even think about doing that? Think about leaving Jared forever. Thinking back on it, it was such a bad idea. Words could not describe how happy Evan was about the fact that he survived the fall.

Evan <3: why thank you ;D

Jared <3: also im pulling into the parking lot of the hospital rn, so maybe come to try and find me lol

Evan <3: Okie.

Evan sat up out of the chair and pocketed his phone. He made his way to the hospital doors and walked outside. He looked around the parking lot for Jareds car. Once he spotted it, he made his way across the parking lot. He opened up the car door and got inside.

"Hey Ev"

"Hi jared"

"Can i sign your cast?"

"Oh uh no n-not yet, its t-too soft to write on, in a few d-days you can t-though!"

"Aw man, whatever."

"S-sorry"

"Its fine Ev, can I get a kiss at least?"

"S-sure"

Evan and Jared turned to face eachother, Evan placed a soft and gentle kiss on Jared's lips. Evan released from the kiss and stared into Jareds pretty brown eyes. He cant believe he almost gave this up.
