This morning was a first, the first time Aria has been late to school this year even if she did stay up all night. She spent the last half hour crying, pacing and worrying so much she didn't notice the time. Her dad had come up to her room to tell her but by then she already noticed.
Aria threw on a white tank top, pulled a thick, black hoodie over it and quickly slipped into some light blue jeans, left her long black hair knotted and said goodbye to her dad.
When she got to school she wiped off snow from her black high tops and headed to the office for a late slip, apologized to the secretary and then went to her locker to collect her books. Made it to second period at least she thought to herself.
She searched for Xianna but found her nowhere, she even missed Mr. Grace's class, which was her favourite. Weird...Maybe she's sick? Pondered Aria.
She finally found Xianna at lunch sitting in their usual spot, "Ari, late? For real?" she asked "Yeah, where were you after second period? You missed Mr. Grace's class, are you ok?" "No, look what Carson and his buddies drew." she said handing Aria a slightly crumpled piece of paper.
Aria gasped, "Did you go see the principal?" "Yeah, he sent me to see Ms. Yanoskov." "I figured. How'd that go?" Asked Aria "Good, I geuss." replied Xianna, Aria then said soon after, "Tell me everything."
