Selina takes Kain along with Giancarlo to scout out the station in Vancouver. There, they find what has become a prison for the experiments and end up tearing the place apart and setting them free. One experiment, however, goes rogue on the three and Giancarlo loses his life.
Meanwhile, the group settle in at Johndor and familiarize themselves with the Guard, who get them out of several messes, including rescuing Chloe from the witch that ceases to haunt her and Julien when Julien makes a deal, trick Julien's parents into falling for a trap and killing them, and returning Rylie's memories after Laird (who turns out to be Julia, who faked her death) attacks her. Rylie returns to end the feud and Julia dies for good.

The Guard prepares to move to Raksha, a town underneath New Delhi, India who are familiar with the Guard and near Stronghold's base in Pakistan. Sera vowed vengeance for all that her parents had gone through, while Selina prays for everyone's safety as she prepares for a funeral for Giancarlo once the final battle is over.
