Three weeks had passed since (Y/N) left the only real home he'd ever known, but he found the lack of chores quite welcoming, that and being able to fly as much as he wanted whenever he felt like it. Feeling his wings get tired he decided to land a few miles outside of the next town, replenish his supplies, and maybe find a roof over his head for the night; as he landed he wrapped his wings around him like a cloak then began to make his way to the town finding the sun rising over the horizon and mountains peacefully beautiful.
Once morning had come fully he made it to the town and began to look for a shop all the while getting glares or stares of curiosity, the latter came mostly from the few Faunus in the town, as he found a building that looked like a shop he began to make his way to it finding his assumption was correct. As he heard the jingle of a bell at the top of the door a man's voice welcomed him but stopped when he saw (Y/N)'s horns "And I thought I had big horns." when (Y/N) looked at the shop owner he saw he was a big horn sheep Faunus "So, how can I help you today sir?" "Just reupping my supplies before I keep on down the road." "Most people would stay for the day and continue on the next." (Y/N) gave a smirk before placing the supplies he needed on the counter "I'm not most people." the shop owner chuckled "I suppose not. Your total is a hundred forty five and sixty cents." placing a lien over the total he told the clerk to keep the change before taking the supplies and leaving.
As he walked down the path of the town to the western most gate he said three Faunus kids trying to sneakily follow him, seeing an opportunity to relax before leaving again, he smirked and ducked between a couple of houses before waiting for his little shadows to follow then move again, this continued until he led them to a small park where he waited for them once more then motioned for the three to come to him. The first was bear Faunus boy with chestnut brown hair with pair of small round bear ears peeking out, the second was a girl with a mouse tail, and the the third was another boy with scales on his cheeks "Why are you following me?" "We didn't mean nothing by it, we've never seen a Faunus like you is all." said the boy with bear ears with an accent that would be fitting in Atlas "That's because there are no Faunus like me." (Y/N) said to them before looking over his shoulder acting as though he had a secret "Want to see something neat?" with excited smiles the three gave nods, with a smile (Y/N) unfurled his wings to their full length while unwrapping his tail from his waist and leg.
When his three limbs stretched out he let out a groan of satisfaction as he stretched his arms as well "Even with the short time they were wrapped up they still feel stiff." the three kids were wide eyed as were the people who saw the wings and tail be freed "Are you a dragon!?" they all asked at the same time causing (Y/N) to let out a chuckle "You could say that. Truth of the matter is, I'm not quite sure if I am or not." "But you have wings and a tail and horns! If you could breathe fire you'd totally be a dragon!" the girl said as she and the boy with scales tried to lift (Y/N)'s tail over their heads only to fall on their backs while the tail effectively held them down; lifting his tail and the two kids up he set them back to their feet "Not all dragons breathe fire. Some can even breathe more than one element." "I've never heard of that kind of dragon." the scaled boy said before hearing a woman calling out a name "Moms calling me, see you guys later." said the boy before he ran off leaving the bear and mouse Faunus.
(Y/N) looked at the sky finding a few clouds drifting through the blue yonder before feeling his hands being grabbed, he looked down to see the girl was looking at his scaled and claw like hand "How come you have all these features? My mom and dad only have a tail or ears." taking his hand away he gently patted her head "Because bad people wanted to do something good." "But if they're bad how could they do something good?" asked the brown haired boy "Good and bad are labels for the things we do, if you help someone, no matter how small, you did something considered good; but if you, say stole something, then that's considered bad. Many people do bad things for good reasons and many people do good things for bad reasons, it's just a matter of perspective really." "But what if I was starving and needed to eat?" "If you can't hunt for food and need to eat, though debatable by a lot, it's okay to steal something to eat".
