Description :
Anito or anitu refers to an indigenous people's ancestor's spirit or a dead family member. They also refer to nature's spirits just like one ethnic person or group asking for blessings or relieving the anger of spirits. Some also refer anito or anitu as gods or deities in the precolonial age and is still so in the present.
Although the term itself may differ in meanings and associations depending on the Filipino ethnic group.
