the next morning, amanda had woken up to find a surprisingly still asleep lynn denlon. she expected lynn to make a run for it, it would've been easier for her to, considering her collar was off.
but no, there she laid, asleep.
amanda then spotted someone walking in.
"hello?" amanda said jumping out of bed, grabbing her gun on her dresser.
when she walked closer, she recognized the intruder's face.
it was jill, jill tuck.
"jill?" amanda said stepping closer.
"amanda, oh, how is john? please tell me he's okay." jill said, frightened.
"he's fine, jill. we could go check on him if you'd like." amanda said with a smile.
"thank you." jill replied, following amanda.

"john?" jill said, bending down next to johns bed.
john turned to look at her, flustered by the beauty of his ex wife.
"jill." john said, pulling her close.
jill started to cry, feeling relieved that john was alive and okay.
"i'm so happy you're okay." jill told him.
john ran his fingers through her hair as she continued to cry.
"amanda, if you'd excuse us for a minute." john said.
"yeah, of course." amanda replied softly, leaving the room.

while amanda made her way back to her room, she noticed that lynn was no longer there.
then she looked over and saw lynn sitting by the door jeff was inside.
amanda speed walked over there, furiously, approaching lynn.
"what are you doing?" amanda said aggressively.
"i just wanna talk to my husband." lynn said firmly.
"would you rather see your daughter? she's in the next room."
"she is?" lynn said, her face brightening.
amanda made her way over to open the door to the room corbett was inside.
lynn immediately ran inside, grabbing corbett, kissing her head.
"baby, are you okay? i'm here, okay? i'm never leaving you again." lynn said, sobbing a bit.
amanda stared, almost annoyed.
"where's daddy?" corbett asked lynn.
lynn then stared up at amanda, then back at corbett.
"he's okay, baby." lynn told her, caressing her face.
"i'll leave you two alone." amanda said, closing the door slowly.
amanda made her way back to her room, sitting on her bed.
i wish i could feel nothing amanda thought to herself
amanda stood up, then grabbing her box of sharp objects.
once opened, she pulled out a few razor blades and knives.
she stared at them for a while, but finally grabbed one of the knives, pulling down her pants instantly, and making cuts on her inner thighs.
i want to feel nothing she thought again, feeling a tear run down her cheek.
there was never a way to make the pain go away permanently, but sometimes it felt okay to make it go away temporarily.
"amanda?" lynn said coming from around the curtain, stunned.
"fuck-" amanda said, standing up quickly, pulling her pants up and throwing everything back in the box.
"what are you-" lynn tried to say.
amanda kept struggling to put things away.
"hey-!" lynn said, grabbing amanda's shoulder.
amanda stared at her.
but lynn didn't know what she could say.
"here." lynn spoke, grabbing the box of sharp objects from amanda's hands and putting them in a high up place.
amanda continued to stare at her anxiously.
"it's okay." lynn said, looking back at amanda.
she said nothing.
"hey." lynn said, grabbing amanda's hands, "it's okay."
amanda let out a loud sigh, sitting back down, burying her head into the palms of her hands.
lynn slowly sat next to her.
"i get it." lynn told her, trying to comfort her, "i was the same way not too long ago."
amanda peaked at her.
"but i found other ways to get rid of the pain." lynn continued, "they weren't the best, but they were better than this."
amanda began to cry.
"and that's okay, it's not easy."
"i cant tell if you're serious or not." amanda cried and laughed.
"i'm serious." lynn smiled at her, "taking anti-depressants to take the pain away was never the best solution, especially when i was over taking them."
"i don't think i can do this anymore." amanda started to cry harder.
"do what?"
"this," amanda repeated, "live, i just—"
"amanda, don't say that."
"it's just the truth." amanda scoffed a bit.
"do you know how many times i've considered suicide?" lynn said, "because i didn't want to fight the pain, i wanted to get away from it."
amanda stared again.
"but it doesn't work like that, amanda."
amanda sighed, looking at her again.
"thanks." she grinned slightly.
"yeah.." lynn said quietly, looking down at amanda's lap, "it's gonna be okay."
amanda sniffed some more, laying her head down on her pillow.
"i think i'm gonna take a nap." amanda told lynn softly.
"yeah? okay.."
"don't go anywhere though."
"yeah.." lynn said, getting up.
amanda then fell asleep instantly.
