Her eyes were fixed at the silent affair unraveling below the candy store that she almost forgot the existence of a boy with his eyes closed, the kind who have just passed out after a long invasive drawl. She could remember the fight minutes ago as if in a spur of moment, her body untangling, fighting against the air, hitting flesh after flesh before her brother's body dropped in worn out limbs.

She carried the boy to her shoulders and continued on, trying her hardest to not trip against the passed out bodies of her foes. Her hood have served its purpose to keeping her unrecognized along with the illusion of the dark.

In a usual humid nights, full moon will bloom from sheets of clouds but this night seems different from yesterday. The air is full of mist from the nearby lake, though not cold enough to tamper the humidity of the atmosphere. The man she was following was dressed in black, overdrawn to his beefy body. He had his hat and glasses on, trying to cover his identity from cameras lurking on the city's streetlights as he was about to taint his name with another deed.

"You got the money like I promised you?" With him is an awkwardly long thin man.

Top hat sat on his bald head, giving his grotesque face a strange flair. He smiled to the short full-bellied man, "Yes. Do you suppose this is enough to keep those old tweeds silent on the upcoming hearing?"

They were talking about an inheritance meeting in which she knew little about. But she have no way to refuse, her client was very specific about his intentions and the offer was convenient to feed both homeless mouths. She could've waited a few minutes more to feed her curiousity even for a bit but it is never her nature to interfere with her client's affairs. She decided to stoop down and went back to her target. She has only minutes left to execute the assassination.

Little Kael slowly lifted its eyes and yawned awake, rolling away from Blue, blushing with the realization that he had fallen asleep again in the middle of their mission. Heavy Short Man took off his glasses, averting his eyes towards their hiding place which caused both of them to lie on their backs with a thud.

Momentarily, the atmosphere eventually turned into a heavy silence. For some reason, the scene was too familiar that Blue's palms were trembling almost in rhythm with the beats of her chest.

Kael could only look at her, as if translating his concerns in a secret language that they both only shared. Run. Run. Run. Was the words forming in his head. Blue shook her head, swallowing her fears and mouthed "Go." But Kael stayed, much for his sister's concern. He chose to stay still and listen. "Ahoy!"

Heavy shots rang, away from their current location. "Oi lad! Come back here you twit!"

Another shot was fired. Blue's eyes shot towards the sound, she could only make out a fraction of what is happening. The place is suddenly loud with multiple bullets directed towards a figure.

"Drunken Lewis!" Kael snapped.

Kael had this thing when they first started the business, recollecting lines from books and movies he found amusing whenever he's nervous. Although, Blue find this certain line confusing.

Gunshots halted, two gentlemen in suits both ran towards their target. Jackpot!

"Ready Kael?" Blue's hands went up to the magazine, seconds before the cue. She can see Kael nodding. Two men were found dead on the alleyway the next morning.
