Chapter 9: DISGUSTING

Maya's POV

Riley and I walk into school. Even though her locker is not close to mine, she won't leave my side. Farkle spots is and runs over and hugs us. We both hug back and then we let go. He kisses Riley on the cheek.

"Hey" Farkle said

"Hey" Riley and I said back

"I have to go to my locker, I'll meet u guys in class." I said

"Maya can we come with u?" Riley asked

"Please" Farkle begged

"Guys, it's fine Lucas will come with me." I said

"I'll come with u where?" Lucas said walking up behind us

"Ur coming with me to my locker." I said

"Ok" Lucas said as he gave me a peck on the lips

"U guys r so cute." Riley said

"Not a real couple Riles." I reminded her

"I guess u guys will meet us in class." Farkle said

"We will Farkle." I said

"Lucas" Farkle said

"Yea" Lucas said

"Protect her" Farkle said taking Riley's hand and walking off with her

Lucas grabbed my hand and we walked to me locker. We haven't really talked since yesterday, or even about yesterday. And I want to keep it that way.

When we got to my locker I opened it and got some books out. Lucas was leaning against the lockers next to mine watching me.

"Could u please stop staring at me." I asked

"Why?" He said

"Because it's weird." I said

"Sorry but I can't stop staring at u" Lucas said

"Why not?" I asked

"Because ur beautiful." Lucas said

When he said that, I felt butterflies. My face turned a light shade of pink and I just wanted to kiss him. He called me beautiful, it's not the first time, but it seemed like he actually meant it.

"Uh thanks." I said turning back to my locker

"Hey babe." A voice said

I turned around to see Ryan standing there.

"Uhhhhh" I don't know what else to say

"U look hot today." Ryan said stepping closer to me

"Hey man stay away from my girlfriend." Lucas said

"She's not ur girlfriend. She's mine!" Ryan yelled

Yup. He's drunk again. It's not a shocker, he always used to be. THATS why he always hits me.

"Lucas let's go." I said worried

"No ur coming with me." Ryan said grabbing my arm

"Please Ryan, let go of me" I begged, trying to not let my tears escape

"Get off of her!" Lucas yelled

Lucas grabbed Ryan's arm and threw took it off of me. He pushed Ryan's down and grabbed my arm.

"Ow" I said

"Sorry" He said letting go of my arm

"Let's get to class." I said

"Maya, I don't want u coming to ur locker without me. Ok?" Lucas said

"Lucas I'm fine I -"

"Maya I'm serious." Lucas said

And by the look on his face I could tell he was.

"Ok" I sighed

"Good. Let's go." Lucas said

He intertwined his hand with mine as we walked off to class.

Lucas's POV

Maya and I walked into class and sat down.

"Mr. Friar and Ms. Hart, ur late." Ms. Lake said

"Sorry Ms. Lake" I said

"Next time it's detention, got it?" Ms. Lake said

"Yes ma'am" I said

I looked over to Maya after Ms. Lake turned back to the chalkboard. She had her head turned facing the window. I couldn't get her attention. Riley sits next to me in this class.

"What happened to Maya?" Riley whispered

"Ryan." I said

"He saw u guys at her locker?" Riley asked

"Yea, he tried to take her with him, but I pushed him." I whispered

"Oh." Riley said nodding

The bell rang and Rile, Farkle, and I left the classroom looking for Maya. She was called to the principal's office like ten minutes before class ended. I started to get worried and turned around to see Farkle and Riley.

"Where is she?" I asked

"We'll find her Lucas." Riley comforted

We kept walking down the halls when we heard someone screaming. Maya. We ran and tried to find her but her screaming stopped. I looked at Riley and could tell she was scared. Farkle looked serious, like he was going to kill whoever has Maya. Which is probably Ryan.

We kept walking, then running. We have to find Maya. I have to find Maya.
