"grappling hook?" he asked the boy and he looked worried, "no grappling hook, we're not batman" Pope said making Madelyn giggle, Jj watched as she did and he couldn't help but blush.

he always loved how she smiled it was like it brightened up the whole room, it was well magical to him. Benjamin noticed he was staring at her and he wrapped his arm around her shoulder and Jj's face fell and turned away quickly.

"ok last thing dark clothes? and flashlights?" everyone nodded and the van stopped as the group got out of the car, "this house is scary at night" Madelyn said and Jj stood beside her whispering in her ear "don't worry princess i'll protect you"

Madelyn smiled at him and he smiled back, "let's go get rich guys!" Aj said and they all walked up towards the wall helping each other over, "here Maddie i'll boost you" Jj said and Benjamin went on the other side of him.

"i'll help her it's ok" he said, it was kind of like he was jealous of her relationship with Jj but he knew they were just friends so she wasn't quite sure what was going on but shrugged it off hoping it wouldn't come up till later.

as they walked through they came up to where the front door was but they were near the bushes so if anything happened they could hide, they jumped when the front porch light turned on and they all hid in the bushes, Jj pulled Madelyn to him and he fell back in the bushes holding her waist.

she looked at Benjamin who was in the bushes opposite to him and he seemed scared, he turned his head to see the beautiful brunette looking at him and she smiled giving him a wave which seemed to calm him down.

"shhh" John b told the group and they all watched the house in silence, "she must have motion sensor lights" Madelyn spoke up and the group looked at her.

"we could, ugh... move very slowly maybe..." Jj said still holding the girl like if he let her go he would never see her again, the thought made her blush and she didn't know why she kept feeling this way about Jj but at the same time she couldn't stop.

she knew it was wrong since she is with Benjamin but she just doesn't know how to stop it, "yeah that's not how it works" Pope told the blonde boy and he rolled his eyes, "oh shit let's throw a rock at it" John b spoke up and Madelyn kicked him.

"yeah let the axe murder know we are here" Sarah softly yelled from the other bushes, "well you guys have a better idea?" he said and the group looked at him with disappointment, "literally anything but that" Kie said with sarcasm.

"what about the breaker?" Benjamin said and Sarah's face lit up remembering something from when she was little, "yes the circuit board is on the porch, we used to play hide and seek here as kids and if we had the guts we would get to the porch, i have seen it"

" no way you not going alone" John said in a serious tone, "i'll go" Benjamin said smiling at Madelyn, "me too" Kie said and she shuffled over to the other bushes, "we will wait for your signal" Pope said and the three walked off.

"hey be safe" John b told Sarah as she walked off and Jj turned Madelyns head to look at her, "be safe" he said mocking John b and Madelyn joined in, "i'll be so safe" John b rolled his eyes and Pope giggled.

"i'm going to kill you both" John b said rolling his eyes, "but sir how will that keep us safe?" Madelyn said and Jj laughed resting his head on her neck, she could feel his warm breath and it gave her chills down her spine.

Jj giggles noticing and Madelyn rolled her eyes at the boy, "hey Jj i need to talk to you later..." Madelyn told him and Jj nodded with a smile, Madelyn decided it was time for her to tell him what was going on and they could try and fix it as friends but she got a feeling it wouldn't be as friends.

soon the lights turned off and the four went down under the house they went down and Madelyn looked around scared, Jj held her tight and she seemed safer when he was with her.

like nobody or nothing could hurt her because he would protect her, "Jj i'm scared" she said and he gave her a little kiss on the head and they both froze realising what had happened, "i- sorry i just thought umm that would calm you down"

"it's ok Jj....." Madelyn said unsure and they hooked John b to the rope, "ok guys ready?" Pope said and they nodded slowly pulling the rope down, "guys i have one request" John b said before going any further.

"don't drop me" he whispered and. and Maddie giggles, "i wont let them!" she said lowering the rope with the boys, "whoa" Jj said letting go of the rope and grabbing it again as fast as he could and John b dropped a couple centimetres, "your going to die first, for sure"

they kept slower ping him down further and further, "keep going keep going" he said and they pulled more rope down, the three started grunting and Madelyn nearly lost her grip but Jj caught her before she could with one hand and she smiled saying thank you.

"wait hold on one sec i'm gonna get situated" Jj said falling and John b fell as the group tried to stand back up as fast as they could and hold him up, "we are staring to pull you up alright" Pope said and they started pulling him up until he yelled for them to stop.

"i see the bottom, pulled me down" the group pulls him down further and hears water splashing together, "are you in water right now?" Madelyn yelled and he groaned and she knew the answer, "ewww"

"ok ok stop i'm at the bottom" John b yelled and they came to a stop, "wait i felt something with my foot" John b said and the group look at each other, "what?" Jj yelled and John b pulled it out of the water.

"Mr Craine! guys pull me up now!" the group pulled him up as fast as they could till he yelled for them to stop, "John b my arms are going to break off soon" Madelyn whined.

"i found something i'm going in" he said and the group gave him some rope so he could clime inside giving them a little break, Kie, Sarah and Ben run down to the group and Madelyn looked at Ben he was hurt and looked at Kie.

"omg what happened she let go of the rope leaving the boys to handle it and helped Ben stand right, "she tried to kill us with a fire poker and got Ben" Madelyn looked at him worried and looks at his cut.

"i need to clean it or it could get infected" Madelyn yells, a sound starts approaching with a gun shot, the boys pull up John b and they all run back while Mrs Craine tried to shoot them and jumped into the car.

Madelyn lifted up Bens shirt and got her first aid kit cleaning it up and bandaging him up, he whined a little but she used alcohol to clean it so he tried not to make a big fuss about it.

John b holds up something in his hand and the group stares at him, "we did it! we found the gold!" the group started screaming in joy and they drove off as fast as they could.
