Chapter Notes (1)

This could be entering spoiler territory, so If you haven't read the recently released "Live House Masquerade" or at least watched LoveLive! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, then please - do that first.

Live House Masquerade has finally released it's first 6 Chapters, and another one coming this week!

Here I'm gonna be placing some notes that I had while writing each chapter that is currently out, so let's get started.

[1] On Your New Journey

This one had a basic enough scenario.

For those who haven't read A Trickster's Sentence , the 3 Chapter Prologue ended with a cliffhanger of sorts which would lead up to this book at the other that's coming out soon - Light of Hope.

This chapter serves as the transition from the last book, picking up from where we left off and at the same time starting up a new story.

another thing to note is the title chosen for this first chapter -
On Your New Journey .

This is a reference to a song made by
Poppin'Party that goes by the same..

The reason this was chosen? Well, during the second half of 2020 onwards - I ended up taking off to various places whether it'd be a simple visit, or that I got dragged in with my mother's work.

The song itself, or more specifically - the acoustic version that was released as part of Tae Hanazono's single : Hanazono Denki Guitar!!! - ended up being the one song that I kept listening to, not just on my travels, but also whenever I try to fall asleep.

Somehow it just gives off a certain vibe that I resonate with, and with the context of this chapter specifically - I thought it'd work out just fine..

[2] Starting Over.

Initially titled Part of the Deal , this chapter would serve to be the push for the ongoing story. Ren arrives for his first day, meets a new friend while working towards finding these people that he once had to let go off.

The old title was only there because of the first segment of the chapter where Ren heads off to meet the Chairwoman and Nana, the way I ended up writing it felt like when I'd write a part for the Velvet Room sections of the prologue book of all things..

I think it was certainly an odd one that could be reused somewhere at some point, but not here.

[3] A Corner of Memories..

An obvious reference to a track from Persona 4, this chapter honestly fried my brain.

At this point, the cast is slowly building up.

The majority of the chapter - I had to think of how the day would go before I felt like it was time to make progress with the story.

I definitely would have a hard time with these types of things because I'm mostly in to try and cross over whatever series would work, Persona 5's Ren Amamiya proved to be the insert I needed to make things happen, so when I eventually have to fill some sections up before I reach the part I thought of doing - it just overclocks my brain.

[4] Dream-like Reunion.

An odd title choice to be honest, but I think it's self explanatory..

I'm gonna say it here - I'm not good with building up moments, at least I don't think so...? So when it was time to do this one,I felt a bit mixed - I don't know if this turned out well for those who read it, but either way I think I did fine (?)

The other half of the chapter though, I think I'm satisfied. It was a more laid-back segment that allowed me to focus in on a side of Ren that wasn't mostly used, at least from what I remember.

[5] There it all starts..

I couldn't actually think of a title for this chapter... It was just placed there because of how it turned out.

So, not so big surprise - this chapter inserted in the first Story Chapter from LoveLive! SIFAS , this was where the idea fully kicks in...

This project became an attempt to bring both timelines together while making something for its own, and surprisingly it worked out.

Though because of it, I had to rewrite a section from [2] Normal Adjustments in A Trickster's Sentence just to connect the whole thing together and make sense of that chapter when it got revisited in this one.

Overall, this was a fun one to do - but also, I have to apologize for inserting a track with its japanese title still in.
for those who actually queue up the tracks I listed for each segment - I'll be commenting on those parts and tell which part of the album they're located at just to make things easier.

[6] Stand Proud.

Officially my longest chapter in any book - with about 6,922 words, at least the last time I checked before publishing all of these..

This chapter pulled in the first 2 episode of the anime, having been altered a bit so that it could fit with both Yuu and Ren, which actually gave me some chances to build them up, because I felt their interactions in the previous chapters felt a bit too short - so I wanted to at least expand that for this one.

Something else to note is that this chapter went through 2 title changes.
The original was gonna be Take My Lead, and the second one that almost made it was simply labelled I'll lend my support .

This was another case I couldn't think of a title, but around the time when I was all ready to get this out - a certain song was playing in my head, so the title that went along now - Stand Proud. is another reference in itself and the next chapter that's coming out this week should follow along this one.

I actually spent about a full day working on this, and to be honest - whether people would read the book in the place or not, I'm really satisfied with how this turned out and it's certainly one of if not the best one I've done.

Having to revisit those 2 episodes of the anime just for this was simply a blast, especially those parts that had an embarrassed Ayumu, I tried on a lot of occasions to not chuckle - but look where that turned out..

Last thing to mention, when I was looking through the drafts for each chapter before release, there was this one comment in the Locked Chapter section that stated something along the lines of "Actual Update in Late June? Don't you mean Late July, friend?"

Well, here we are - Late AUGUST before I got to actually put something out. If the person ends up reading this ... Sorry about that.

Well then, I think that's about all the things I wanted to place here.

This'll be a regular thing on this little book now, every set of chapters that I put out on each book would also be getting a segment here to discuss how it went down over there as well.
