L'aria è molto afosa, quindi decido di iniziare a cantare.

Mi alzo e prendo il microfono.

Canterò una delle canzoni che mi strappa sempre una lacrima: traitor di Olivia Rodrigo.

Per sicurezza prendo un pacchetto di fazzoletti.

Vedo Fangs prendere River sulle sue spalle e dirigersi verso di me.

Canto il ritornello con molta fatica, iniziando a piangere.

River ritorna sotto l'ombrello per il troppo caldo, mentre Fangs ed io continuiamo.

Quando il brano termina, velocemente entro in casa, per prendere alcune bottiglie.

Esco, mi avvicino alla piscina, apro una bottiglia e verso il liquido contenente in essa sul mio capo.

Passo le restanti bottiglie a Fangs ed iniziamo a schizzarci reciprocamente.

Durante tutto il tempo Cheryl e Minerva sono rimaste a guardarci, senza proferire parola.

È quasi ora di cena.

Entrando in casa vedo moltissime impronte, cosa mi infastidisce molto.

Fangs: -Imbandiamo la tavola io e River?- pronuncia sussurrando, anche perché capisce quando sono tesa.

Toni: -Sì. Purtroppo devo pulire il pavimento-

Fangs: -Non preoccuparti- mi stampa un bacio sulla gota sinistra e si dirige verso la cucina.

Prendo sia la il panno che la mazza, per poi lavare con molta attenzione.

Termino di lavare il pavimento e mi posiziono su un tappeto, aspettando che si asciughi.

Toni: -Fangs, avete apparecchiato?- 

Fangs: -Certo. Quanto tempo manca?-

Toni: -Altri 5 minuti-

Finisco di parlare con Fangs e vedo Cheryl e Minerva dirigersi verso di me.

Cheryl: -Toni, domani potresti aiutarmi con i preparativi per il matrimonio?- domanda con una faccia tenerissima, che tantissimo amo.

Toni: -Certamente- le sorrido.

In questo momento vorrei darle tantissimi baci sulle gote, ma non posso farlo perché non è più la mia fidanzata.

Il pavimento è completamente asciutto, quindi mi dirigo in cucina.

Durante la cena abbiamo parlato molto del matrimonio.

Ora sono sul divano e sto vedendo un film.

Minerva, Fangs e River sono andati a letto, perché erano molto stanchi.

Siamo solo io e Cheryl.

Lei ha la testa appoggiata sul mio petto, mentre io le accarezzo i capelli.

Lentamente la porto in camera, mentre io ritorno in cucina.

Stanotte non dormirò in camera, perché il climatizzatore è danneggiato.

Prendo due cuscini, mi sdraio e mi addormento.
