  “ Hate the sin, love the sinner ”

Seungmin's POV:

I was woken up by my mother, bursting in my room. Today was 'Family Sunday'. My parents are the pastors of the church and they took one specific Sunday and did this mini activity. It is very, technically every family member that wants to come can come to our church. I was very excited, so I quickly got out of my very comfortable bed an into the bathroom. I did my morning routine in the bathroom. I went out and began to go through my closet. I didn't know what to wear. Then my eyes landed and a cute outfit, so I took it out started to get changed.

I finished getting so I went downstairs for breakfast.

I was eating when suddenly my mother talked "Jennie sit like a lady! I pay lady classes why do you still sit like a boy" "I'm sorry momma" my little sister said to mother. My parents were very strict with us. If we acted out or did something bad we would get a very long speech about how God didn't like that, so we preferred to do good. "Momma, why can't I wear the pretty dress Jennie has?" my little brother asked. My eyes widened, no not you I silently thought. "because you are a boy and boys don't wear dresses!!" father had to put a hand on her shoulder. She was very mad Taehyung had asked that.

We finished breakfast and so we started to go down to the car. Father started the engine an began to drive. I was so excited to go to church today, I don't even know why.

Chan's POV:

"CHAN GET UP!" I almost fell out of my bed. I groaned but complied why is she even waking me up today "what?" I dead panned asked her "well good morning to you too hun, I just wanted to ask you if you wanted to come to church with me today?" "you know I'm going to say no, why ask?" My mom, rolled her eyes "I know it was a no but since today is family Sunday today at chur, I was hoping you would say yes, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeee?" I hesitated before answering "fine." she clapped and jumped. She looked so excited, so of course my mood lifted up, I'm glad I said yes, I got to see her beautiful smile!

I went up to my room and started to get ready. She said to wear something decent, something churchy like. But what? Literally all my clothes are either black or have a print on them. My choices were very small but I put out a decent, churchy outfit up.

I got changed into my outfit and went downstairs for some breakfast.

Me and my mom finished eating and so we went out to head to church. She was so excited she couldn't stop smiling. I never really liked going to church. Old people always had something to say about me, whether it was good or bad. The majority of the time they were bad things, that's why I don't go.

No ones POV:

Chan and his mom arrived to church. It was packed. Many families with kids and teenagers running around. It was very nice. Chan actually felt very at peace. "How do I look?" "You look fine mom" she smiled and held Chan's cheeks "I'm so happy you came baby" Chan smiled and kissed her hands. "Oh well hello there Solar, I didn't know you had a boyfriend" a random old lady said as she went up to them. Solar stared at her and laughed "oh no no no, this is my son!" "Oh my Goodness, he is very handsome- oh would you look at that, my sister arrived I'll be leaving now" the woman said out of embarrassment. Chan and Solar just laughed. "oh look, those are the pastors" Solar said, pointing the family that was walking out of their car. Chan turned to the direction his mom pointed and saw them. However his eyes were focused on someone.. Who is that!? He thought. He couldn't take his eyes off of them. He didn't even notice they were walking their way "well hello Solar, oh who's this?" "Leah, hi! oh, this is my son" the woman known as Leah (OC) looked at Chan and her smile SMELLED fake. You could tell from a mile away "hello there, what will your name be young man?" "Ah yes, I'm Chan, Bang Chan" he greeted while taking her hand. "Oh, what a wonderful name, well Bang Chan, these are my three children. Kim Jennie, Kim Taehyung and my precious Kim Seungmin" again Chan couldn't take his eyes off of him. He is so damn beautiful! Wow a real angel

Seungmin noticed ever since he got out of the car that someone was staring at him. He slyly looked for who it was, but soon after regretted it no Seungmin get those thoughts out of your head! And now again, the guy, also known as Chan, kept staring. He knows. He knows his mother noticed. Because if she didn't she wouldn't have said that "Seungmin why don't you take your siblings inside now" Seungmin only nodded and followed the simple rule. Once successfully inside they went up to their seats and sat down. His mother then sat down after a couple of minutes after. After everyone in the church settled down the pastor began. He first greeted the people and then prayed for such a wonderful morning. After wrapping up his prayers the choir began to walk in. Seungmin was part of the choir, actually. But he never went up for the first song. He always went up front for the second song. Midway of the choir singing, Seungmin got up and went to the back to put on his church robe. He zipped it up and waited for the second song to come. Once he was called to go to the altar he went. He usually was never nervous about going up to sing. He stepped in the altar and stood up straight, looking over all the people. As the orchestra started his eyes landed on someone. It was then when he couldn't contain his nervousness. His heart beating fast.

Stop it heart, I'm in church stop it! He was beating himself up mentally. On top of all, he was maintaining eye contact as well. Non of them pulled away. It was like they were drawn to each other. And Seungmin didn't like it one bit.

On the other hand, Chan was amused that the boy hadn't looked away yet. He kept on staring until the very last song. Once the song finished, the boy almost immediately, got off the altar. Very disappointed but mostly disgusted at himself. How could I think of those things in front of my pastor and even in the altar! I need to be cleaned! He could never live with himself if he didn't wash his sinful hands and face with holy water. He took it to that extent. He quickly got changed and went straight to the sanctified room, where people went to apologize and wash themselves with the water. Once Seungmin stepped in the room he kneeled in front of the Jesus figure and began to apologize. He took the holy water out and started to clean himself up with it.

He finished up and went to his seat with his mom, who was scolding his little sister, Jennie, for how she was sitting. "where did you go? Why did it take you so long?" His mother whispered to him "I went to the sanctified room to pray" she smiled at him and nodded turning her attention back at the pastor, her husband, who was talking. He sighed and turned his attention to him as well. He, however, could feel someone staring holes on his back. He knew exactly who it was, so he ignored it. His attention now fully to the words of his father.

I'm so sorry for not updating the chapter even tho I promised I would. I would like to say a few words now. I am not, in any way, mocking or making fun of Christianity. I am christian myself. But being christian is one thing and being religiously obsessed is another. In this case, in the story I mean, Seungmin was taught the religiously obsessed kind. That's why he did all those things. I want to reflect how badly a religiously obsessed parent can effect their child. It was very hard to write those things because again I am christian myself and I absolutely love God, if you don't I totally don't care and I love you either way, but I just wanted to give you something different in a way. I hope you understood what I'm trying to say with that. I also hope you enjoyed this first chapter tho :) Anyways
