"HAPPY BIRTHDAY AZEA!" as the group of friends entered their airbnb, azea's eyes were met with her mother's.
"ma?" azea covered her mouth, her tears fighting the urge to fall. azea ran up to her mom and hugged her tight. they pulled away after a couple of seconds and azea looked straight into her mom's eyes. "andito ka! (translation: you're here!)" azea smiled, still crying.
"azzy, bunso." her sister, giselle entered the living room from the hallway.
azea looked at her and seeing her other siblings, also seeing some of her siblings coming, callista, ariele, avic and sevi.
"how the actual?!" her siblings walked up to her and hugged her all at the same time, a group hug. "i missed you guys, so much. thank you for coming." azea cried even more.
"yung mga kaibigan mo ang nagplano nito, zizi. 'wag kami ang pasalamatan mo. (translation: your friends planned all of this, zizi. you don't have to thank us.)" her mom said to her. azea looked back at her friends and gave them a bright smile.
"we're staying at a hotel, bunso. we all flew here yesterday and we met your friends earlier and decorated this house." giselle told her, smiling.
"thank you guys, i appreciate it, really. like a lot more than you think." azea pouted. tommy walked to her and wiped her tears.
"let's all go to the dining room now and sing azea a happy birthday, shall we?" george asked everyone. they all nodded yes and walked to the dining area, with a table full of food. some are home cooked and some are ordered. most of them were filipino foods as well which was suggested by lani to let the group of friends to try them out.
azea walked in front of the cake and everyone started singing. "happy birthday to you! happy birthday to you! happy birthday, dear azzy. happy birthday to you!" tommy tried to make a high note and totally failed which made azea laugh. azea's mom took a candid photo of her laugh.
