I stood there watching as he entered a passcode; it seemed that he was the only one who could enter this room.

He unlocked and opened the door for me.

I took a step inside and looked around the room.

It was simple, yet it was nice.

There were no windows in this room, and the only furniture was a big black hardwood table and black leather love chairs.

With a click, the door locked closed behind me.

I turned around and saw Angel walk up to the leather chairs, and I instinctively followed him.

I take a seat across from him, my legs crossed beneath me as I face him.

He leans back on the seat across from me, lying back and spreading his legs. One arm is laid on the armrest, while the other lies on his side, his hand resting on his thigh. He tilts his head to the side and silently examines me.

I shift under his piercing gaze, his eyes scrutinising my every motion and feature.

"Soundproof."

My ears perked up at the sound of his voice, which both intimidated and enchanted me.

I give him a confused expression.

He rolled his eyes and motioned to the room with his tatted index finger, which he circled.

My mouth formed an O when I realised what he meant.

When I returned my gaze to him, he raised an eyebrow at me.

"Talk." He commands coldly.

And it was all the assurance I needed to spill out everything.

I told him everything, from the moment he left me in the alleyway, up until the man left.

Angel's demeanour remained unchanged; he stared at me as I spoke, despite the fact that you could see the rage welling up within him.

His hands clenched and unclenched as his light eyes darkened.

As I finished speaking, we fell silent.

He looked at me emotionlessly before averting his gaze. As he stared blankly at his shoes, his hand went through his silky hair.

"Angel?" I call out softly.

He raises his eyes to me and indicates with his two fingers for me to come over.

I don't waste any time and approach him.

As I sat down, my legs brush against his, and I ignored the tingles that ran through my body.

I shift my weight to the side so that I can face him.

He rolls his eyes and pulls my body onto his lap.

My cheeks begin to flush, I gradually shift myself on his lap and put my attention on him.

"Why didn't you just take it?" He asks me quietly.

I look at him dumbfounded.

"Angel, even if I wanted to, I wouldn't have been able to do it." I tell him honestly.

It was true. I truely wouldn't of been able to steal from him, it would break me.

As he nods, his bottom lip tucks in between his teeth.

He looks longingly at me as if he's deep in thought.

I twirl the chain around my finger as I play quietly with it around his neck.

"We'll give him the money." He says which makes my eyes widen.

"And then,

He pauses and gradually raises his hand to my neck, his fingertips lingering on my bruise.

I'll kill him." He finishes.

I bite my lower lip and give him a nervous expression.

"What are your plans?" I ask.

He raises his gaze to mine and leans in close.

As we got closer and closer, my breath grew heavy, and he was only an inch away from touching me.

My body craved for his lips as soon as they brushed against mine.

"You'll have to act distant with me." He whispers against my lips.

I frown knowing I wasn't going to like this.

"That way, he won't suspect I know." He says, brushing his thumb along my bottom lip.

"That's only your part. I'll take care of the rest." He tells me and looks me in the eyes.

I sigh and nod.

He kisses me on the cheek and wraps his arms around me, his head buried in my neck.

"You okay, moonlight?" He asks me.

"I am now," I say that with sincerity.
