"And that's when the guy jumped from behind me, all it took was a simple wrench manoeuver and the guy was down!" Wrecker cheered, his drink spilling as his animated form flung to the air, "Heh, he won't be leaving that med bed for a while."
"Well, he won't be getting up at all, a broken spine tends to do that, Wrecker." Crosshairs huffed, sipping his drink, but a dark smirk was wet on his lips. You spluttered out a laugh, again, leaning against Tech's arm as you wept tears of joy.
"Stop, stop- it-it's too goood!" you muttered, trying hard to catch your breath. Hunter slipped away from the booth unnoticed, stumbling his way to the bar and back with a fresh new round, Tech was surprised he hadn't spilt any on the way back. As the Sergent handed out the next round, Tech intercepted your drink and pulled it far from you.
You blinked at your empty hand, brain still catching up with what was going on, "Wha- heeeeey~" you groaned out, slowly turning your head to catch Tech's eyes. The man in question smiled at your childlike nature, shaking his head as he promptly spoke, "You've had too much to drink for one night, you're perhaps forgetting we have a mission in two days and I would prefer it if you weren't hungover the whole time."
"Pffft, I- I won't be hungover, I'mmm not even drunk!" you laughed out, eyes blinking slowly. Tech let a chuckle slip out through his lips, "I highly doubt that, my dear."
"GAsp, you 'hink I'm drunk, don't youuu?" you slurred out, suddenly turning to the rest of the group, hands pounding on the table. The drinks shook with the vibrations causing Crosshairs to moan out when a small drop fell to the table, "Guyysss, Tech here, thinks I'mm 'runk! Amm I?" you questioned.
A chorus of cheers screamed "No!" while Echo muttered a weak: "Yes."
"So it's decided, I'm taking you back to the ship before you get into any serious trouble. Excuse me, Hunter." Tech announced, moving to stand as best as he could to get out of the booth. His hand worked its way around your wrist and effectively dragged you out with him, sliding past Hunter, you begged him to let you stay.
The boss just laughed, bandana falling down to cover his left eye, "Sssorry, can't help ya!" he roared, ultimately causing you to groan. Tech refused to let go of your arm, still pulling you along with him, eventually you gave up trying to escape and clung to him without shame. It surprised the clone, he wasn't prepared for you at all to do that but in theory, he should have seen it coming with your far more tipsy state.
"Tech~" you mused, drawing your nose to bump against the cut of his jaw, wobbling on your tip-toes to reach the giant. Tech stopped walking, knowing you would fall if he carried on, he turned to face you with a sigh, "Yes, (Y/N)?"
You leaned up closer, nose dragging over his cheeks, inciting a red blush to follow wherever you went. Finally reaching your destination, you bumped your own nose against his, "Boop." you laughed, pulling back and leaning heavily against his chest, arms flung over his shoulders. Tech wrapped his arms around your waist, gone past the point where he could ask for your permission to do so.
He begged that his face let up from the pink virus he had captured when it came to you, hoping he wouldn't make a fool of himself in front of you. With another empty sigh, Tech, not so gracefully, lifted you over his shoulder so he could get back to his ship quicker. Ignoring all the stares from whoever was out that late at night, you cheered along, hitting your palms against his back as you sang out of tune.
When he finally approached the Havock, Tech went to place you down but immediately stopped when you objected.
"Wait! I-I gotta doo somethin' first!" you protested, leaving Tech confused for once in his life. So doing as he was told, Tech resumed the same position as before, you slung over his shoulder, albeit a little further down than before. Tech waited for you to do something, maybe you were trying to pass up gas or something, similar to an infant.
What he didn't expect, however, was a light tap on his armour closer to his...out of reach regions, let's say. Tech's body shook, he pulled you down instantly, arms moving away from touching you and face pale yet bright red at the same time. He watched as you giggled away, the smallest hint of a blush on your cheeks and around the bridge of your nose.
He didn't know what to do, stunned by a single action, an action by you no less.
"Let'sss gooooo!" you shouted, preparing to charge up the ship's ramp. But your first large step ended in misery as you quickly began to tip backwards, waving your arms to centre yourself, your body leaned heavily forwards. Expecting to hit the ground and feel it more in the morning, you embraced the feeling of falling, nothing quite like the thrill of it all.
Tech launched after you, wrapping his arms around your hips without thought and dragging your back to rest against his chest. His laboured breaths warmed the tips of your ears, a toasty blush now on your face.
"Maker, don't do that." he huffed out, pulling you into a position where he could get the both of you into the ship. He could feel your fingers tracing the side of his armour as he walked you to the bunks, a disaster zone by the time the others would get back.
You flopped face-first into the bunk, groaning when it hurt slightly. From the noise alone, Tech's eyes widened in panic, he turned so your back was against the covers and inspected you for any injuries, even if they were minor.
Pushing his hands away with your own, you cheekily wrapped your fingers around his so he couldn't escape, "I'm fineee," you groaned out, smiling up at him with pearly whites. Tech felt the light squeeze in his hands, flicking his gaze over to capture his right hand entangled with yours.
"Stay with me~" you begged, face buried into the cover, eyes closed. Tech didn't know what to say, well that was a lie the obvious answer was yes, the answer his heart was churning for. But when did he ever let his heart decide? His brain was his heart in Tech's own opinion and it had never let him down before.
"I'm afraid I can't do that, you need to rest." he carefully untangled your fingers from his, gently laying your hands on top of your chest as your breathing evened out. Moving away from your passed out form, Tech swore he heard your lips murmur something, "(Y/N)?" he questioned, stepping back over to the bunk.
You didn't wake from your calming sleep, just murmuring to yourself, perhaps lost in a dream Tech could only describe. His fingers reached out on their own accords, startling Tech, but he did little to stop the movement. His fingers danced across your hairline, pulling the stray strands away from your face and back into the bundle of hair on top of your head.
He couldn't do this, couldn't keep a secret so large from you. Well, there was no one around, everyone else still at the bar or at the very least making their way back. And you were practically knocked out unconscious, so why couldn't he let his feelings out?
Taking a deep breath in, Tech hummed out his feelings, a small "I-I love you," declared from his lips. Pulling away, Tech left you alone, the door swooping shut behind him. He made his way to the cockpit, the trusty old cockpit. He fell into the chair, back hitting it hard and slightly knocking the wind out of him, at least he said it, got it out into the world.
"Maker, what are you doing to me." he whispered out, eyes focused on the stars through the window above.
