Serephina Rosenheim

Likes: 

Reading, looking at maps, swimming, woodcarving, the sea, the ocean.

Dislikes:

People being hurt, abuse of power, being told what to do, not being able to travel.

Fears:

Thunder, drowning, being left alone, never being able to travel.

Phobias: 

Astraphobia. 

It is an extreme fear of thunder and lightning. It can affect people of all ages, though it may be more common in children than adults. It's also seen in animals. Many children who have this fear will eventually outgrow it, but others will continue to experience the phobia into adulthood.

Serephina has been afraid of thunderstorms ever since she was little. During a journey with her father to France on a ship, the ship was caught in a bad storm, the worst storm in years, according to the captain and the crew of that ship. During the journey Serephina had pressed herself tightly into a corner somewhere below deck and had refused to come up until the storm was over. Aboard the ship Serephina had always hidden her fear of thunderstorms knowing that there was no way that the storms could be avoided.

Hobbies:

Woodcarving

Woodcarving has been one of Serephina's favorite hobbies ever since her father thought her how to carve wood and make almost anything out of it. Whenever Serephina is able to sit down for some carving it reminds her of the afternoons she spend with her father in his workshop.

Reading

Having been a curious girl from a very young age, Serephina has found that the best way to feed her curiosity was by reading every book she could get her hands on. As books could be expensive and her family didn't have money to buy new books weekly, Serephina, when she was younger, set out to find the nearest bookstore or person that sold books. Finally finding a kind old lady who sold many books, old and new, Serephina made a deal that if she helped the woman clean everyday she was allowed to borrow books and bring them back after finishing them.

Swimming

Being a wild child Serephina always had a lot of energy as a child and often ran of to go to the small lake next to her village with the other children there or sneaked away to go to the beach.
