"My my, that must be an interesting book." Connor said as I heard zero snicker

I got away a bit an hid my face within delirious chest.

"Oh my god, you both did not just do that!" I complained

"Is the book a romance?" Zero snickered

"I'm going to the gym." I said as I got up

I left out of embarrassment and out of disappointment that it was ruined. But for a few sweet seconds, his lips...his lips were on mine.

I felt sort of jittery and warm towards it as I got to the gym.

"Strange, your book is about being a mother?" Zero teased," does it have a page on how to kiss your man-"

I was now on a lamppost, reading my book as the cars an people below went past. The sun was nice an warm an the wind was gentle.

A few people took pictures here and there while I read my book but they never bothered me or did much.

Just as they spoke out my name people started looking at me an talking.

'Seriously?'

I looked down to see two boys looking up at me, one of them holding a camera or go pro of some sorts.

I gave them a wave an then went back to reading as I didn't wanna do much for the media or even be in the media today.

But just as I started reading again, tires screeched onto the road and I looked to see a van come this way full speed.

It was recklessly hitting a few lampposts or swerving onto the side walk as a few people shouted or panicked. Cop cars turned the corner and were full speed chasing after the van.

"There's children inside." The lamppost said

"Fuck." I mumbled

Just as the van was getting closer it lost control an was going to hit the post I was on as well as the boys an people around.

A small wall formed on the sidewalk to stop the car incase I couldn't stop it in time from hitting the civilians. I then tried to get control of the van an tried to make it come to a halt.

Its tires screeched as it kept nearing an a few people screamed. The van stopped just by the wall and I saw my book had fallen onto the road underneath the post.

I jumped down and went to the van as the doors flew open. The drivers were dazed while the man in back held a pistol to some kids.

Fear written in his eyes as he put his hands up in surrender.

"Get you and your buddies on your knees in the middle of the road an put your hands behind your back." I hissed as I hopped in

He nodded an shoved the doors to the drivers side open. I untied the kids and let them be free as they tried to stop crying or whimpering.

I used my power to morph the objects around into toys or something similar to toys to distract them as their attention was now on them.

I helped the kids out of the van and had them sit in a circle with the toys behind the van. The cop cars came to quick halts as the cops quickly tried to get off an get to the criminals.

I backed away an turned around.

"Hey death! You dropped your book!" A boy shouted

I turned my head an saw the two boys from earlier run to me. They gave me my book an I took it back.

"Right, thanks." I said," you two didn't get hurt did you?"

"Nah, we're doing fantastic thanks to you!" The one with the camera said

"Yeah, that was incredible! You went all like fwoom and the van was like eeerrrrrr and the other bad guys were all like ahhhhh no we surrender!" The other boy said

I cracked a smile an laughed.

"Tha-"

"STEP AWAY FROM THE KIDS! Hands behind your head an on your knees!" A cop shouted as I heard guns get loaded

"Don't fire, let the kids leave-"

"She's retaliating! FIRE!" Another shouted

I raised my arm and a small wall lifted an covered the boys as the bullets fired at me but stopped midair.

"I said." I growled," Let. The. Kids. Leave."

The cops hesitated an looked scared but I sighed an let the bullets drop to the ground as the wall covering the boys fell.

"I'm not looking for trouble today, I'm just vibing you old fucks!" I complained," I'm calling a truce just for today."

"Yeah let her vibe!" One of the boys shouted

"She just saved a bunch of kids!" A woman shouted

"Leave her alone!" Another man shouted

Soon the people on the street were shouting and chanting for the cops to leave me alone. I was very surprised as I looked around an looked at the crowds.

"LEAVE DEATH ALONE! LEAVE DEATH ALONE!" They all chanted," LEAVE DEATH ALONE!"

The cops, out numbered, reluctantly started to arrest the men from the van an go away.

The kids were taken as well as the crowds as they followed the cops.

"Yo that's amazing!" The boy said," hows it feel to have people suddenly be on your side?"

I looked at the two boys an their camera an shrugged.

"I'm honestly shocked? Just a month ago, I was a mystery and most wanted criminal." I replied,"...now I have people willing to back me up an people wanna talk to me or recognize an become joyful..?"

They both ran off but walked on the sidewalk as the boy talked to the camera an other guy.

I looked at my book an read the title but then smiled.
