And after I said it, Pisaca flashed forward, and I found her hand squeezing my throat tightly. This time, I could neither talk nor breathe.

"I don't know whether you are brave or just stupid," she hissed with her pointy teeth snapping at me, "but I'm still going to drain every single drop of your blood until your veins run dry!"

Then she opened her mouth, intending to bite on me, but just like a miracle, Lisa got a hold of her shoulders and threw the girl away. She had successfully formed her mental shield at last.

Then she and Pisaca started giving punches back and forth. The psychic force broke and we were freed from the pressure.

I dropped to the floor again, still gasping for air. Joy and Jisoo who I hadn't paid much attention to since Jennie's heart attack also let loose. I sprang to my feet and rushed to Jennie. She was lying lifelessly on the floor.

"Oh my, Jennie!" I called her name and picked her off the floor. Joy and Jisoo also came to our side.

"She's not breathing!" Jisoo cried in terror, tears streaming down her cheeks. I quickly pressed my hands on Jennie's chest and started pumping.

"She's still there," I told them as I heard Jennie's pulse beating again. "Jisoo, can you get her some energy?"

Jisoo didn't need to be told twice, she just pressed her lips against Jennie's.

Joy also took her hands and rubbed them. I was hoping that we would transmit our life force to her in time.

Then we heard a crash, Lisa got tossed against a stack of wooden boxes, but she got up and lunged back into the battle with no fear in her eyes.

"Oh my god!" I turned to Joy. "Get everyone out of here! I have to go and help Lisa. As long as we can hold her off, she won't notice you."

"No!" Joy protested, looking as if I had just punched her in the gut.

"We don't have much time!" I insisted. "Go!"

Then Jennie finally opened her eyes. Her heart rate went back to normal again. There was a relief spreading through our faces.

"Now go!" I told them again and was about to shoot off when Jennie caught my wrist.

"Chaeng, you can't defeat her," she said, her eyes telling me the truth. "She's too strong."

"We need a plan," Jisoo said.

"What plan?" I asked.

"I have an idea," Joy suddenly said then she turned to Jisoo, who looked a bit paler after rescuing Jennie. "You see those boxes?"

I looked up to the ceiling and saw a load of goods in a net, hanging from a crane.

"Perfect," Jisoo said. I could hear her brain calculate the distances and angles.

Then they both quickly got up and ran towards it. I had no idea what they were planning to do. Lisa dodged the immortal once again and got around her before wrapping her arms around Pisaca from behind. As they struggled against each other, I just wanted to flash over to help Lisa but Jennie stopped me.

"No, Chaeng!" She said and finally got on her feet again. "I'm shielding Lisa from the immortal's kinetic power. If you interfere now, it can break."

"But-"

"Lisa!" Jisoo screamed from the crane. "Turn that mega vamp 90° degree north with fifteen feet-"

"Jisoo, English!" Joy yelled.

"Okay... bring her to the center!"

Lisa obeyed and pushed the girl forward with all her strength. I was holding my breath. Jennie grabbed my wrist tightly.
