Chapter 42.

I found Jisoo in the suite. She was on the bed with her back turned to me. I walked up and crawled onto the bed with her.

"Jisoo?" I said softly. "Are you okay?"

Jisoo didn't answer. Her shoulders were shaking a little. I wasn't sure if she was crying over the loss of her virginity or the humiliation at the Lunch Hall. I guess it must be both.

"I'm sorry about what happened," I said again, swallowing dryly. Jisoo turned around to look at me. Her long eyelashes were damped with tears. She stared at me for a moment and burst out crying again.

"It's okay Jisoo... shhh... it's okay," I pulled her into my arms, and we held each other on the bed like that for what seemed like forever.

"Jennie didn't mean to hurt you that way, you know," I said again, smoothing her hair as her face pressed against my chest. "And neither did Joy."

"I know," Jisoo managed to speak in a croaky voice. "I'm just a little upset about everything."

"I understand,"

"Why didn't she tell me this?" Jisoo said, now her breathing had calmed down a little.

"Sometimes it's better not to know."

"I thought it was just a dream."

"You remember?"

"Yes, when I was unconscious, I thought I was having this strange dream... about Jennie and me... but I didn't think it was true. I thought maybe I had feelings for her that made me fantasize about her... I really didn't expect this to be true."

"Oh yeah, you do have feelings for her," I said.

Jisoo just shrugged slightly, "I'm not sure."

"Jennie seems to care about you," I said. "I can see that."

"You think so?"

"Oh gosh... not you too," I said. "I was so blind with Lisa and now you are following my footsteps."

"At least Lisa shows you every day," Jisoo said and then she stiffened, "Wait, you said you were blind... so now you and Lisa?"

"We're now officially dating," I said with a shy smile.

"Oohh!!" Jisoo gasped, sitting up with a huge grin. "You guys are finally together?"

I just nodded sheepishly.

"Aw... Congratulation! Chaeng, I'm so happy for you!" Jisoo said brightly. I was glad that my news lightened her up a little. Then we heard a knock on the door, and the door opened with Joy stepping in.

"Hey, Jisoo," she said nervously.

"Hi," Jisoo said. Then I was caught by surprise when Jennie followed through the door after Joy. She looked at Jisoo with her pleading eyes, but Jisoo turned her back away and moved to sit on the edge of the bed.

"Er... I think you guys might want to talk," I said and crawled out of bed to stand next to Joy.

"Jisoo," Jennie came around the room and sat down next to her. "Jisoo, I'm so sorry for what I did to you. I had no intention to take advantage or whatsoever. It was meant to save you. That's the only way I could make up for it. You can be mad at me, but please, don't hate me."

"I don't hate you," Jisoo said in a small voice. "I'm just a little upset."

"Jisoo," Joy spoke up. "I also want to apologize for what I did at the Lunch Hall. I was stupid..."

"It's okay Joy," Jisoo said. "I know you do stupid things because you care."

"We all care about you," I said. "We're all best friends."
