GUIDE

NATURE
Fey cannot lie, they have mastered the art of twisting their truths so much that it can take on a different meaning. They also cannot break promises. They have to hold to their favours - which is why they do not thank someone, as it indebts them and Fae ask for cruel and impossible favours.

EXILE
The Fae of the Light Court and the Dark Court do not mingle (only in the human realm) unless they are exiled. Exiled Fey live in the Wyld Woods if exiled from the Unseelie, and the Feared Forest of from the Seelie Court.

WYLD WOODS
The Wyld Woods are easy to get lost in - even nature is against you and it gets dangerous the more deeper you go, so it's avoided. Not all survive (most don't in fact), those who do are left looking for ways to enter the human realm which takes very long as most entrances and in the Seelie and Unseelie.

FEARED FOREST
It's the same for the Fallacious Forest only the weather is always changing - and they go very extreme - and you have hallucinations that are so real it's often impossible to separated falsehood from reality. It drives Fey crazy, which makes them very dangerous.

MORE
Many think that as it's called the Light Court, they are much nicer than the Dark Court. They are just as cruel, they just hide it better. The colour of a Summer Fey's magic is gold, silver for Winter, bronze for Autumn and rose gold for Spring. (Before anyone says bronze and rose gold are practically the same, look at the picture at the start). Their eyes also turn that colour when magic is in use.

RULERS AND HEIRS
Fey Kings and Queens get married and have children who inherit the throne. But their spouse stays hidden away from the world, all that is known about them is their name. They have equal power, but one is the representative. For example, the Spring Queen is married with young children but her husband, the King Consort does not appear infront of people. He had equal power to the Spring Queen, so she delegates for him and informs the kingdom of anything he wants them to know. The same between the Summer King and his Queen consort. They can marry Fey from any status or Kingdom, even rival kingdom as they stay hidden anyways. But no one has ever married from rival courts (only from neighbouring kingdoms in the same Court) because they rarely meet each other and harber such a strong hatred. They probably couldn't even guarantee their spouses safety

In the Summer and Winter Kingdoms, the eldest son is the rightful heir to the throne. In the Autumn and Spring Kingdoms, the eldest daughter is the rightful heir to the throne, so their firstborn is always that gender. This does not change.

NAMES
Faeries cannot reveal their first names or surnames to anyone. They go by their middle names. If they reveal their True name, they are indebt to that person for the rest of their life. To seal promises, Fey reveal each other's True names to the other, but forget it once the promise or debt is fulfilled

RELIGION
Supernaturals do believe in religions. In fact, most ideologies in religions from the human came from Fey practising them. So in this sense, they are like humans. As strange as it sounds, there are Christian, Hindu, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Sikh (etc) Fey but they are more about the belief and spiritual connection, as to the practices. (Dw I will not include any practices or rituals as I do not want to disrespect anyone, the religions may merely be mentioned). There aren't Agnostic Fey exactly, but there are those who do not follow a religion but believe there is a certain power above all, who call themselves Azaads.

ETHNIC BACKGROUNDS
They also have their own cultures which match the humans! May it be Native American, Japanese or Caucasian, they have it. They speak their languages but have the ability to translate and understand it, so there are no language barriers. This is just to give a meaning to their last names - they rep their culture only when they are with their own Folk, not when mingling with others - then they adhere to Fey customs. So there won't be much culture in this book.

IRON AND SILVER
Iron is the weakness of Fey. They cannot touch it or it'll burn them and consuming it will definitely kill them. Fey in the human realms have to constantly drink antidotes to prevent the iron from working against them and their glamours come in contact with iron, not themselves. So weak Fae do not survive in the human realm. Warlocks generally use a lot of iron - it is essential for them and it helps them - so Fey and Warlocks do not mingle very much. Fey can do magic anyways so Werewolves and Vampires usually go to Warlocks.

On the other hand, Faeries keep and use a lot of silver. Their jewellery, their weapons etc are all made of silver. It is essential for them so they are avoided by Werewolves (whose weakness is silver). It's why Vampires and Faeries have unruly alliances as they don't rely on elements that can harm each other. But they don't necessarily get along. They are neutral.
