Embracing the Sea

Umalis ang lahat pwera sa aming lima nila Amina, Toff, Mine at Leif. Gusto daw nila kaming makausap at wala naman akong magagawa don. 

Naramdaman ko ang pagtayo ni Mine pero hindi ko siya tinignan.

"So ... I want to tell you kung bakit namin sinabi na kailangan si Aishen sa site ay dahil hindi ako laging makakapunta don, pati na rin si Maddux kaya kailangan namin ng tatayo para sa company." Mine said using his strict voice.

Earlier I remember that someone said I will be the representative of the two companies. Wala naman akong magagwa, because it's an order from the higher-up.

Mine also continue to speak. "Another thing is for all of you to become professionals, we need to be professionals dahil sobrang laking halaga ang nakataya dito at hindi magandang mawala yon o masira dahil lang sa pag-aaway niyo. We know that you're not in a good terms but please separate your personal matters to your job."

After he said that he sat and just look at me pero hindi ko parin siya tinapunan ng tingin. Bahala siya dyan, dadaldalin lang niya ko.

"We can be professionals. But, that sl*t should be out of this, she's just a director dapat yung mas magaling ang piliin niyo." Amina said while poiting a finger at me. I look at her seriously and she glared at me too.

"Stop it, Amina," saway ni Glaze sa kanya, but the latter just roll her eyes.

I hear Leif sigh. "The location of the site is in Bulacan —"

"W-what?" Napasigaw ako dahil sa sinabi niya, but Mine laugh at me kaya tinignan ko siya ng masama.

"Hahahahahaha! Grabe ka naman mag react, di mo muna pinapatapos si Maddux." Tatawa-tawa niyang sambit kaya mahina ko siyang kinurot sa tagiliran kaya hininas himas naman niya ang  parteng iyon.

"Aishen, I'm just waking you up. Kanina ka pa tulala dyan, so let's go back as I was saying the location of the site is near here — few kilometers away in our building." Leif saif at napangiwi ako.

"So we hope that troubles or any kind of fights will be put aside." He said before ending the meeting.

Lumabas na ako agad dahil sinabi kong madami pa akong aayusin at habang naglalakad ay narinig ko ang boses na tumatawag sakin. Agad ko itong nilingon and I wear my emotionless face again.

Glaze called me asking if we can talk that's why I told him to follow me.

Nakaupo ako sa upuan ko and we are inside the office, while he's just standing there looking at me. His eyes were pleasant, maybe because I let him talk to me.

"What do you need?" Tanong ko, ako na ang bumasag ng katahimikan.

I see him gulp before speaking and he speaks slowly trying not to stutter.

"Did I do something wrong, Aishen? I don't know what happened between us, bigla ka nalang nawala ng wala man lang pasabi." Toff said with a sad voice, he have teary eyes but I look away.

I look at him coldly, not wanting to show him any emotions. "Why do I need to tell you my reasons? Hindi ba pwedeng umalis ako tapos na ayon na yon and why do you care?" I said coldly but he still manage to wear a warm smile that melts me.

Nakakainis talaga kapag nakikita ko siyang ngumingiti. Pinigilan ko ang sarili kong mamangha sa ngiti niya, I still continue wearing my mask.

"Aishen, please tell me the reason. That's all I ask, I just want to know why did you leave me ... In our anniversary." He pleaded and a fake laugh escape from my lips.

How funny that he doesn't know the reason why I left, but I know the reason why he slipped. Our worlds are really chaotice when we are together.

"Wow. I'm amazed by your memory span. Pero hindi mo kailangang malaman ang mga rason ko dahil kahit kailan hindi ko hinihingi ang mga paliwanag mo. Now if you're just gonna' bring back the past, I suggest you leave my office or rather leave my life and let me be in peace." A lump form in my throat when I saud those last words.
