‘I wouldn’t have given her to them if I knew, I swear!’ Deamon cried and fell on his knees, he was sobbing in his hands. I stood up from the bed and sat next to him, I hugged him and he hugged me back

‘I’m so sorry Evangeline, I’m so, so sorry’

‘I know, it’s okay. it’s the past, you can’t change it anymore’

‘but still, I’m sorry’

‘it’s okay’

‘no it’s not, could you please forgive me?’

‘yes Deamon, I forgive you’ I told him, and I meant it, he didn’t know what they did

‘you didn’t know what they did’ I held his face with my hands and looked at him

‘I forgive you, do you understand that?’ he nodded

‘do you understand?’ I asked him again

‘yes I do’ he hugged me again

‘thank you’ I hugged him back and then I released him and stood up. I wiped my face

‘okay, we cried enough for today. Let’s just… play a happy game’ I nodded to myself and started walking towards the door but Jacob grabbed me by my arm, I turned to him

‘you have to take shower first’

‘why?’ ‘you were covered in sweat when we came into your room’

‘okay’ I said simply, I just needed a distraction from all this

‘but you have to go out of my room’ he nodded and went out of the room, everyone else followed. When everyone was gone I quickly started gathering my stuff and walked out of my room. I went to the bathroom and took a shower not longer than five minutes. When I putted all my stuff away and went to the TV room I saw everyone sitting in there. I rubbed my hands and took a breath of air

‘well, time to play a happy game then’

We played games card games which they had to learn me and we did hide and seek in the whole dorm. To summarize, we had a lot of fun, this lasted the whole night and we were still not tired even though it was already six in the morning, we were in the middle of playing texas hold’em poker and I didn’t understand one thing of it. I had two aces and I had no idea what I should do with them. It was my turn and I wanted to get ready for the day so I just did all in

‘what!? Why’d you do that?’ Adam asked horrified

‘you know that’s worth a dollar don’t you?’

yeah, we played with dollars, you can apparently buy fiches with real money. I just shrugged, I learned to have a poker face, probably because I had no clue of what I was doing and I didn’t want them to show that.

‘well… okay, I go all in too then.’ Jackson said

‘we can just end the game with this’ we all did all in and we all started playing our cards they all had two pair, and that is something because we are with thirteen persons here, I waited till it was my turn. I putted my two aces down and saw a pair of kings lying there so I chose those and there was a ten so I picked that one too. I looked up and saw them all staring at me and my hand in shock

‘how, how, how, how?’

‘what how?’ I asked Jackson with my poker face still on, I still didn’t know if I should be happy or not

‘how?’

‘how what?’

‘why?’

‘what why?’
