‘why?’
‘because I don’t want her to know anything’
‘okay, but dad, you have to come, something is wrong with Samuel’ I turned to Brenda
‘you have to tell me what that was about’
‘I didn’t do anything.’
‘but why did he yell?’ Jacob asked ‘
uhm, well, maybe he’s Evangeline her protector’ I looked towards Evangeline and went with my hand over her forehead.
‘Evangeline? Wake up.’ She slowly woke up as I shook her softly
‘why are you waking her up?’
‘she has to take a shower’
‘why?’
‘do you want her to be sick?’
‘no, but why does that have to do anything with a shower?’ I sighed
‘well, she’s covered in sweat and when it gets cold there is a chance that she’ll get sick’
‘what’s wrong?’ I looked towards Evangeline
‘who’s that?’ she pointed to Brenda
‘why am I wet?’ she looked down at her clothes
‘Why are you in my room?’ I laughed
‘you sure do ask a lot of questions’ Brenda said with a laugh and Evangeline furrowed her eyebrows
‘who are you? You look familiar’
‘Deamon wanted me to meet you’ she bent forward
‘hello, I am Brenda’ Evangeline took her hand and Brenda fell down.
Evangeline’s POV
Brenda fell down.
‘what’s wrong!?’ I asked worried
Deamon held her by her shoulders so she wouldn’t fall backwards.
‘Dad why did she fall?’ Jacob asked
‘I don’t know’ he looked worried and panicked
‘Bren, Brenda, what’s wrong?’ she gripped her head
‘Bren, what’s wrong?’ she pointed at me with wide eyes
‘you are Willow her daughter?’ she asked suddenly happy and I looked at Deamon, with confusion clearly written all over my face
‘how is she?’ I looked at Brenda and then back to Deamon
‘Bren’ he held her shoulder in one hand
‘she died 17 years ago.’
Tears gathered in Brenda her eyes and confusion was still written all over my face. Suddenly I was engulfed in a hug and Brenda was crying
‘oh my god, I am so sorry.’ She rubbed my head
‘I’m so sorry’ I patted her back hesitantly because I didn’t know what to do
‘it’s okay?’ I said, but it came more out like a question
‘who’s Willow?’ I asked and she held me on arm length, looked at me and then to Deamon
‘you didn’t tell her?’
‘tell her what?’
‘you didn’t tell her Willows name and who she was?’ he looked guilty
