‘seriously Bren? Boyfriend? What is he?’

‘human’

‘oh’ I tilted my head back and placed my hand on it

‘why? Why a human? Why not a witch?’ she rolled her eyes

‘oh please, you know I just use him to get more power and it’s warlock remember’

‘I know, but still. You don’t call someone like that a boyfriend!’

‘jealous?’ she wriggled her eyebrows *bing* the elevator opened

‘after you my lady’ I bowed a little with my hand outstretched towards the elevator

‘thank you’ she said with a bright smile and I smiled back.

I pressed five and the doors closed, not long later the doors opened again, we were on the fifth floor. We stepped out of the elevator and the door closed

‘so’ she started, but I stopped her, don’t talk I mouthed to her and she nodded understanding.

the boys were all asleep and I didn’t want them to wake up, because I am sure that they would object if Brenda erased a part of Evangeline’s memory.

I walked over to Evangeline her room and pulled the handle down, I poked my head inside and when I saw that Evangeline was asleep I pushed the door fully open while being sure that it wouldn’t creak. I motioned for Brenda to come in, she came in and did something with her hands

‘okay, now we can talk’

‘what’d you do?’

‘I made this room soundproof for a while, so no one can hear anything we say, but we can hear everything that’s going on in the other rooms’

‘ah, smart’ I said with a nod

‘let’s erase the memory first okay?’ ‘

yes, how much do you want me to erase?’

‘uhm, just the last…’ I was counting in my head

‘six hours’

‘okay, here we go’ she started chanting something, Evangeline started struggling in her bed and at the same time someone in one of the other rooms started yelling.

‘what’s wrong?’ Jacob asked Samuel, but he just kept screaming in pain. I looked back at Evangeline and saw that she was covered in sweat

‘what is happening?’ I asked worried but Brenda held her hand up and continued with chanting.

This lasted for three minutes and Samuel’s yelling didn’t stop either, instead after two minutes Evangeline gripped her head and also started yelling in pain, but she was still asleep

“what the hell is wrong? They both haven’t stopped yelling” Brenda stopped chanting she head beads of sweat running down her forehead

‘who is this girl Deamon, this took a lot of power out of me, it was a really hard spell.’ She wiped the sweat off of her forehead

‘did it work?’ she nodded

‘could you see what she is please?’

‘yes’ she was about to touch Evangeline but the door slammed open and a worried looking Jacob stormed inside the room. His face swapped to one of confusion

‘dad?’ he looked over to Brenda

‘what’s going on?’ he asked

‘Bren erased the last few hour of Evangeline her memory’
