Solitude: a state of selection or isolation

Odell's POV

It's 5pm and I just got out of practice, I've been there since 8am. That shit had me drained.
I parked in the garage and made my way in the house.

"Hey babe." Lauren said eating popcorn on the couch.

"Hey." I said as I walked over to her and kissed her lips.

"How was practice?"

"it was draining I'm tired, imma go shower and go ta sleep." I told her as I walked up the stairs.

"Ok." She yelled.

I took off my clothes throwing them in the dirty bin then mad my way to the shower.
I started thinking about Adah. She just didn't want to talk to me.
She wanted nothing to do with me.
Part of me says leave her alone and move on but the other part wants me to keep trying.
I just want to talk.
I got out the shower and dried myself.
When I was done I put on my boxers and decided to call my mom.

"Hey sweetie

"I seen Adah ma."

"Wow I haven't seen her in years."

"How is she?"

"She's doing incredible ma, did you know she's the owner of Amor Vincit? I asked smiling.

"Seriously??? Wow thats amazing she always wanted to be a designer. Wow I'm proud of her." My mom said happily.

"Yea I'm really proud of her. I also really miss her."

"Your still in love with her aren't you?" My mom asked.

"Ma I don't wanna talk about it, I'm going to sleep goodnight. I said

"You haven't smiled throughout this phone call until you mentioned her name Odell."

"How's Lauren?" She asked.
