"No matter how long it takes, I have the assurance that I'm waiting for something that would come back."
"If so, then I'll be the wave in your life, no matter what, I promise to always come back to you."
"Then I'll always be willing to wait for you," he said.
I rested my head on his shoulder. "Remember how you said before at the cliff that if you had the chance to ask Fabian one last question, you would ask how he wanted to be honored and remembered?" I asked him.
It was one of those nights spent at their special cliff. I asked him that if he had the chance to ask Fabian one last question, what would it be?
He answered me that he would ask him how he wants to be honored and remembered when he dies.
"For me, I want my ashes to be scattered in the seas, in the oceans, in the mountains... everywhere."
"Why?" he asked.
"So that wherever you go, I'll always be with you. Through the waves, through the rain, through the wind. You'll always feel my presence everywhere."
I looked at him. "What about you?" I asked him.
"I just want to be buried right next to you," he said.
"Rean," I called him. He looked at me. "You are pretty much the loveliest thing that has ever happened in my whole life."
"And I don't know how many times I've already said this, but I really think I don't deserve you."
"You do, Anya."
"You're so charming and perfect, why are you with a girl like me?" I asked him.
He looked away and stared at the moon. "It makes me sad that for you the bare minimum is already considered perfect. It made me realize that no one has ever treated and loved you the right way. No one has ever treated you the way you're supposed to be treated."
He cupped my face as he made me look at him. "And I hope you know that you deserve more than just the bare minimum. You deserve more."
I cupped his face too. "And you are more."
He smiled, nodding at me. "And I hope that you know that you are also the loveliest thing that's happened in my life."
"Can you feel it?" he asked.
I nodded. "I do."
"Can you?" I asked back.
Instead of answer, his lips met mine.
He kissed me slowly and passionately as he laid me down on the sand. His lips were so soft and careful that I almost lost my senses.
I snaked my arms around his neck, pulling him closer to me, not wanting him to stop and break our kiss.
"Do you want to do this?" he was catching his breath as he asked me.
I looked at him in the eye. "I do."
"I'll ask you again-"
"I do, Rean. I do." I cupped his face. "I want to feel you."
And with that, our lips touched again, but with more passion and intensity this time.
He started tracing my jawline with feathery kisses, down to my neck then my clavicle. He kissed me so gently that I feel like I'm melting everytime his lips touched my skin.
As his kisses got lower, the more my body burned.
And all I could do was run my fingers through his soft hair and keep on pulling him closer to me.
