‘I, I, I’m naked?’ I nodded ‘how would you know if I’m naked?’
‘I told you, it has to do with what my dad is going to say to you’
‘why?’
‘you’ll get to hear the story tomorrow, but now, please go put some clothes on’ I said quickly, but I was still sitting on the bed
‘but you are still here’ she said. I could see that she was really uncomfortable and a little bit ashamed, why? I have no idea.
‘yeah…’ ‘you want me to change in front of you!?’ she shrieked and it dawned on me what she meant. I quickly stood up
‘sorry! Guys, go out of the room!’ I said, and only when they were all out of the door I turned around and apologized again before leaving the room and closing the door.
“I am acting really weird” I heard running in Evangeline’s room and I was pacing in the hallway while going with my hand through my hair
‘how can she hear it?’ I asked my dad
‘same as you’
‘yeah but she’s not half’
‘no, she’s half what I am and she is half who knows what her mother was’
‘but she was normal’
‘guess not’ the door opened, Evangeline was now wearing a white dress.
‘what kind of conversation are you having? It’s weird.’ She asked with a frown.
‘I’ll explain later’ my dad said, he clearly had to think this through just like I do.
‘why can’t you just explain? For example, what was my real mother like?’ that question caught my dad off guard
‘I wasn’t expecting that question’
‘yeah, wel… what was she like?’ she said softer now, it seems like she didn’t plan to ask that question either.
‘come, let’s sit down’ he waved his arm motioning her to go with him, she nodded.
‘can I come?’ I asked
‘I mean, I would like to know something about my little sister. Is that alright with you?’ she nodded and started walking towards the kitchen
‘I’m going to make some tea, who want some?’ she turned around and we all raised our hands, she turned back again and started walking towards the kitchen.
‘she looks tired’ Samuel said really soft
‘I’m not tired’ she said
‘I still can’t believe she can hear us’
‘I know, I can’t believe it either. And will you please stop talking behind my back?’ I had to chuckle at her bluntness
‘sorry’ Samuel said I walked towards the kitchen while everyone went to sit in the TV room.
‘need some help?’
‘yeah sure, could you get the tray and place twelve tea cups on them?’
‘okay’ I did just as she said
‘what are you?’ she asked me
‘I’m a quarter demon and three quarters vampire’
‘what am I?’
‘you’re a quarter demon, a quarter vampire and something else’
‘wow. What can I do? Do we have some sort of powers or weaknesses?’ she asked with a little bit of excitement in her voice
