Chapter 48: Leaving Day

"I didn't do anything to it!" Alberto yells back

"Guys it's alright, just Alberto, babe, don't go in the kitchen...ever again." I say "but I did appreciate the thought and it's the thought that counts right?" I say as I place one of my hands on his cheek and gently rub my thumb over it

He leans into my touch while nodding before he begins to tear up a bit

"Babe what's wrong?!" I say as I place my other hand on his other cheek

"I'm not gonna be able to lean into your hand once you're gone" Alberto says before leaning forward to rest his head on my shoulder

I don't say anything and just run my fingers through his hair before I hear a sniff from behind me, I turn my head to see Luca looking down and shaking his 'no'

"Silenzio Bruno. Silenzio Bruno. Silenzio Bruno. Silenzio Bruno Please!" Luca whispers to himself

"Luca, baby, come here" I say as I open my free arm to him

He quickly crawls over before resting his head on my other shoulder. They both begin to cry and wrap their arms around me, fearing that if they let me go I'll disappear forever

"Please don't go!" Alberto begs

"We need you here with us!" Luca begs

"We can't live without you, please!" They both cry and I whimper slightly while trying to hold back my own tears

"You'll both be fine, I promise." I say as a few tears fall from my eyes

"No we won't! We'll never be fine until you're back, you're the only reason we smile everyday and the reason we don't have nightmares anymore" Alberto says

"Please just don't fucking leave!!" Luca yells into my shoulder

I look down at him with shock as Alberto looks over at him with shock. When I look down at him I notice he's glaring and crying at my shoulder

"Please....just....don't leave me..." Luca begs as he cries harder

Before I can say anything Giulia walks in with a sad expression, I look over at her and immediately know what she's gonna say

"Y/n, you got a few minutes before you have to go" Giulia says as she rubs her left arm and looks down

I feel Luca and Albertos grip on me tighten around me as more tears fall from their eyes. I look at Giulia again and see a few tears fall from her eyes as well

"Guys.....I promise I'll be back. It's only a few months, and those will go by like THAT" I say as I snap my fingers at 'THAT' "then I'll be back here and we'll get to, hopefully, have a repeat of this whole year. Well maybe not a complete repeat" I say as I remember all the shit we all went through this past month

"Alright it's my turn to hug her you hug hoggers" Giulia says as she walks over

Alberto and Luca take a few more seconds before slowly letting go of me so I can stand up. Once I'm free from their grasps I stand up and walk over to Giulia before hugging her tightly, and her hugging back with just as much tightness

"Come back soon Y/n" Giulia says "if I'm being honest with you, after you showed up....I didn't feel so alone anymore" She says as tears prick her eyes

"The feelings mutual G, and I'll be back as soon as fucking possible" I say giving Giulia a small in which she returns

"Ragazzi! Let's go! The trains almost here" we all hear Massimo yell from downstairs and I sigh

The boys grab my bags and suitcases while Giulia grabs some wrapped boxes from under her bed, presents.
