~Y/N POV~
As I stare at the Sea Monsters and Kids playing I suddenly feel a tap on my shoulder, as I look towards the owner of the hand that tapped me I see a big buff guy, mustache, eyebrows covering his eyes and he only has one arm. I gulp slightly
"Are you Y/n?" The man asks me as I nod and try to hide my fear
"Nice to meet you I'm Massimo, you'll be staying at my house while you're here" he says and gives me a warm smile
I smile back and immediately feel at ease, he walks behind me and picks up my suitcases then starts walking. I jog a bit to catch up with him and when I finally do I turn my head back to the kids and sea monsters and notice them all looking at me
"Crap!" I think to myself as I avert my gaze to the ground and continue walking
"Don't worry the Sea Monsters are our friends now" Massimo says to me as he ruffles my hair
I nod my head and look back at the group to see 2 sea monsters slowly following me and Massimo, I quickly turn around as I begin to panic
"Omg they're gonna jump us!" One voice says in my head "What?! No! Mr. Massimo said they were friends with the Sea Monsters now!" I argue "THAT DOESN'T MEAN ALL ARE NICE! THEY COULD JUST BE TRICKING THE HUMANS!" The Voice yells at me as I flinch
~Time Skip~
We arrive at Mr. Massimo's place while I continue to have an argument with a voice in my head
"Alright Giovanotto (Kiddo) you'll be bunking with my daughter, her room is the first door up the stairs and to the left" he says as he places down my suitcases and walks into the kitchen to I assume start making dinner
"Alright, Thank you Señor" I say as I grab my suitcases and head up the stairs into the room he said to go to
As I enter I see a girl with curly red hair reading a book about space, she looks up as I open the door a bit more and smiles widely as she rushes over to me
"Hi! I'm Giulia! Giulia Marcovaldo!" She says as she takes my hand and violently shakes it
"Nice to meet you Giulia I'm Y/n! Y/n L/N!" I say and she gasps
"So your that kid that my dad said was gonna come live with us for a whole year! Where are you from?!" She asks me as she kinda gets up in my face
"I guess no personal bubble with this one" I think to myself before stepping back a little and answering "I'm from H/S (Home State) in the United States!" I say to her and I see her rush over to a massive pile of books and shove them off to reveal a bed
"Well My new American Friend! Welcome Nella mia casa! (To my home!)" she says before we hear what we assume to be the front door closing
"Oh mio dio! (Oh my god) You have to meet Luca and Alberto!" She says as she grabs my hand and pulls me down the stairs
When we get to the bottom of the stairs I see...
"The two sea monsters from earlier?" I think to myself as Giulia walks right over to them and wraps her arms around each of their necks
"Luca, Alberto, I want you to meet my new," she starts "and only..." she mumbles "American friend! Y/N!!" She yells as she turns the two boys to look at me
"You're the girl we saw walking with Massimo!" A boy with green and blue scales and brownish red eyes says as he points to me and grabs the arm of the boy right beside him
I turn my head towards the taller boy and see he has blueish purple scales and purple hair? But that wasn't what really got my attention. What really got my attention were his eyes...they were as green as shiny emeralds that sparkled in the sunlight yet they had a softness to them
I guess I had been staring at him for a long time because I felt someone dragging me away
"Are you done looking at your Romeo, Juliet?" Giulia asked me as I was forced down into a seat at the kitchen table
"I-Uh....what...?" I ask as I shake my head to get out of trance
Just then the two boys walked through the kitchen door and the Emerald eyed boy was sat across from me....
This is gonna be one interesting Year...
