"We will." I assured him.

"You two are so cute that it makes me sick." my brother faked gagged.

"Thank you?" I responded to him.

When we got to my parents' house, everyone was already eating and talking. We got there a little late since Beau wanted to take a shower first.

"Isn't it nice to see our family interact? Things don't feel as awkward as they did last year." I brought it up.

Beau nodded his head. "I'm forever grateful that things worked out. I can't imagine my life without you, Nat."

"Which reminds me of something, I'm taking you on a date on Wednesday night. I know it should be on the weekend, but baseball. I want to always make sure that I make time for you and the first step is a real fancy date." he explained.

I grinned. "Where are we going?"

"Robinson's at eight o'clock on Wednesday night. I'll pick you up at 7:20ish," he responded.

It was a fancy steakhouse in LA that had the best views of the city since it was at the top of the 20th floor. I'd always wanted to go there.

"I'm excited. How do you take your steak? If you say well done, we're breaking up." I joked (well not really).

"Medium." he took a step towards me.

We were alone in the kitchen.

Everyone else was outside.

"Wear something nice, Natty." he lightly grazed over my shoulder.

Beau put his hands on my waist and got close to my ear. "But also something that I would want to rip off of you."

Oh my god.

That actually left me speechless. I hadn't seen much of Beau's sexual side, but I was enjoying it.

I looked him in the eyes and just bit my bottom lip. If I didn't look away in the next thirty seconds, I was absolutely going to lose all forms of self-control.

His eyes were locked on me.

I didn't want to look away, but we were at my parents' house. I didn't want our first time together to be some half-assed quickie.

"You're going to make me lose it." I took his hands off of my waist and walked over to the refrigerator.

I needed water.

"Whatcha mean?" he leaned against the counter and crossed his arms.

He had this stupid little smirk on his face.

"Oh, please. You know what I mean." I looked away from him again.

Oh my god, what was wrong with me?

"You know, I've known you for this long and this is the first time I've seen you so flustered. Natalia Fitzgerald is rarely without words, but I guess I got you good." Beau pointed out.

My heart rate had to be over 100 right now.

"When's the last time that you had sex?" I asked him in a low tone.

He shrugged. "Sophomore year of college the week before winter break. I was really drunk, so I don't remember much."

My eyes got wide. "There's no way."

"You know how I was. I wasn't really into hook-up culture. I'm not one of those people who uses sex to heal." he reminded me.

True, but still.
