A/N: so sorry it took so long. I've been doing Uni and haven't had the time or motivation to write.
After breakfast his parents let us have their car and Damien took them home. "Okay where we going?" Reg asked as we got into the car "okay so I have 3 apartments that we are looking at." I said "cool so where's the first one?" He asked.
We went to all three apartments and agreed that the final one was the best.

"Definitely that last one." Reg said as he drove us back to his house "yea I really liked it, it's spacious enough, we could move the dining table and I could put a desk in that corner." I said "and it's the best price, is a brand new building and is in a great neighbourhood." He said "yes and it's not too far from the college or from the garage." I said "yep. It's perfect." He said "well I told the landlady that we were interested but we'll have to wait to see if I get into college." I said "she's gonna keep that one on hold for a couple weeks for us." I said "that's great. You're gonna get in." He said I smiled.
We got back to the house to see Damien's car in the driveway. We went inside "hey how'd it go?" Damien asked as we walked over to the sofa. "Great. We think we found the one." I said sitting down Reg sitting next to me "that's great." Laura said coming in from the kitchen with some lemonade "yea. We're just gonna wait until after my meeting tomorrow to actually decide anything just to be safe." I said "not that we have anything to be worried about." Reg said "I know." I said smiling "where's dad?" Reg asked looking at Laura "oh he's having a nap." She said "that sounds like a nice idea." Reg said I rolled my eyes "well I better get going." Damien said standing up "I'll see you tomorrow so you can tell me how the meeting goes." He said looking at me I smiled.
After Damien left Laura started to do some cleaning so Reg and I went to his room. I brought my bags into his room and then laid down next to him on his bed. "Can you believe we're getting married?" He asked I looked at him and smiled "you know if you told me 10 or even 5 years ago that by the time I'm 22 I'll be engaged to a soldier I met less then a month earlier while on a life threatening expedition that my brother in law got me into. And would hopefully be going to college to do my dream job and have an apartment. I definitely wouldn't have believed you. Heck even 2 months ago I wouldn't have believed you." I said he laughed.
"yea who would've thought that I would meet the love of my life on a life threatening mission. And that I would propose less then a month later before I'm even 18." He said "yea. Weird how the world works." I said he smiled "that it is." He said "speaking of. You're gonna be 18 in less then a week." I said smiling. "I know it's weird right?" He asked "well considering you've already had a few near death experiences and were in the army I would have thought a little older. I mean if the guys hadn't told me that you're 18 I would have guessed at least 20." I said "I think I'm gonna take that as a compliment." He said I laughed a little "it is. I mean I would have realised once I actually got to know you that you weren't 20." I said "okay that wasn't a compliment." He said I laughed again.
"God I love your laugh." He said making me blush and look at him he smiled "you're so beautiful." He said I smiled "you're not to bad yourself." I said making him laugh a little "so you have your meeting tomorrow and then your birthday on Tuesday." He said "yep." I said "and then my birthday on Saturday." He said "yep and I'm gonna book us in a hotel for your birthday." I said he smiled "you really think they'll come to surprise you?" He asked "I wouldn't be surprised if your mother or brother have worked something out with them to surprise me." I said he laughed "yea they would do something like that." He said. "Besides if it's only your sister and Jack then my parents will definitely insist that they spend at least the night in the guest room." He said "well now that I'm not in there they can." I said he smiled "so when do you think you will go back to South Africa to sort everything out?" He asked "well your birthday is Saturday so we'll be at a hotel that night. Maybe Sunday night as well." I said he smiled "then I'm not sure. Do you want to come with me?" I asked "if you want me to." He said I smiled "I would love you to." I said "I want you to meet my girls. And Benny would definitely want to meet you before we get married." I said he laughed "don't worry. He's gonna love you." I said.
