THE NEXT DAY WAS BORING YET AGAIN, but what did [Name] expect? Everyday in her life was nothing more than a bore, maybe that was why she had seemed so mopey all the time. It wasn't as if she had much to look forward to anyways, it wasn't like her high school experience was like the movies she had grown up watching. The only slight difference from today compared to the others was she was still pondering about the conversation her parents had with her. Although she wanted to forget it so desperately, the thought returned every time she assumed it was gone, even around Yachi (since [Name] was confident the blonde had interest in a special someone).

"Hey [Name], do you have any plans this Sunday?" The angelic voice snapped her out of her depressing thoughts and her head slowly lifted from her barely eaten food. Her head turned to Yachi who was smiling softly at her bestfriend, her head tilted slightly to the side which caused her blonde locks to brush against her uniform shirt.

"I don't think I do?" [Name] thought to herself for a moment, her finger moving to the bottom of her lip and tapped lightly. She then shook her head, "I don't think so."

Yachi gave a wide smile, excitement rushing through her body. "We should hangout this Sunday! Yamaguchi and Tsukkishima are going to the Spring festival and Yamaguchi invited us," her voice was enthusiastic and her head tilted slightly to the side, eyes closed shut as her hands were placed on [Name]'s knees and practically made the  friend tense up at the sudden burst of energy. It wasn't really nothing new for Yachi to have such sudden bursts but it was definitely something [Name] had to learn to get used to eventually.

"I wouldn't mind going," the [hair color] haired girl responded flatly, eyes darting down to Yachi's hands quickly trying to signal her discomfort once the blonde finished speaking. [Name] cleared her throat, lifting Yachi's hands off her before speaking once again, "however, you are aware you don't have to invite me places because Tsukkishima and Yamaguchi are going to be there."

Yachi stared and then she blanked, confused as to what [Name] was implying. Did [Name] not want to go places with them? Was she annoyed by the two boys? They seemed to get along fine, but obviously, Yachi wasn't aware of what went on behind closed doors. The blonde stared for a moment, finger moving to her bottom lip to think. Maybe she was uncomfortable and felt out of place since she barely knew the boys?

"Sorry but, what do you mean by that?"

[Name] turned, eyebrow lifted. It was [Name]'s turn to feel confused, especially since she thought her statement was quite obvious as to what she was implying. "Aren't you romantically interested in Yamaguchi?" She asked, throwing Yachi Hitoka completely off guard and causing her to let out a series of coughs.

Her hands flew up, shaking away the statement violently as she coughed off to the side. "No, no! D-Definitely not! He's only a good friend!"

[Name] lifted a brow. That was definitely not what she had expected as a response, especially since her reaction was quite dramatic for someone who didn't like someone romantically. The [hair color] haired girl only hummed in response, lifting up her juice box to her lips and taking a sip.

Yachi stared curiously, curious as to why the strange question had been asked completely out of no where— especially since Yachi had never really acted as though she was interested in Yamaguchi in that way.

"What made you think I liked him like that?"

[Name] lifted her head once again, this time she was the one to feel confused and awkward. She was unsure of how to describe her thought process to the friend, especially since she, herself, was confused as to why she came to that conclusion on her own. But, in an attempt at giving a response, she only shrugged and said: "You guys always kinda seemed really close... I would've assumed the two of you to at least have deeper feelings for one another."

Yachi had blushed, immediately looking down and her finger tips brushing against her knees awkwardly, saying something incoherent under her breath which the [eye color] eyed girl could only manage to make out to be the words 'you', 'close', and 'too'.

"What'd you say?"
"Nothing!"

[Name] had shrugged it off, assuming she had just heard nothing until Yachi once again snapped her from her thoughts.

"Do you have anyone special?" Yachi had asked, pink tinting her cheeks as [Name] lifted a brow slightly in hopes of an explanation, "Like... romantically? Do you have anyone that you like?"

The student shook her head softly, thumb grazing the top of her juice box. "I never really found interest in romance... or crushes. I prefer being alone," she said, the response being slightly mumbled and embarrassed, "maybe there's something wrong with me, everyone seems to be able to find someone they like."

Yachi stared for a moment, processing what [Name] had just revealed to her. The two had never spoken on topics such as these and Yachi had felt her heart swell at the thought her her friend trusting her enough.

"Well, have you ever tried to involve yourself with anyone? A boy or a girl—"

"I'm not attracted to women," [Name] interrupted, head swiftly turning to look at Yachi but growing regretful at Yachi's shocked expression, "...or men, I don't think I like anyone or want to like anyone."

The blonde stared again, letting out a small sigh that [Name] had caught. A sigh of relief? A sigh of disappointment? Why had Yachi sighed? Maybe the [hair color] haired girl had annoyed her or made her upset with the way she snapped. Maybe Yachi was unable to understand her inability to develop feelings for someone.

"I get what you mean..." The brown eyed girl mumbled softly, her chin moving to rest in her palm, "I can't seem to find myself attracted to men either..."

The friend's eyes had widened, but then her expression had softened into a smile— glad that she had a friend who understood her problem as well.
