Matthias POV

I'm not exactly sure why and how I got so angry, but I'm now strangling the girl.

Her hazel eyes were protruding out of their sockets. Her hands were trying their best to pry mine away, while her legs flailed around everywhere. Her lungs, begging for oxygen. Her lips turning a dark shade of blue.

Her movements were now slowing. I stared in horror at what I was doing. At the girl I was killing.

I wanted to let go, loosen my hands slightly and give her the air she needs. But I knew that if I let go, I would have been punished by Nex. He would see the dark bruises that are sure to line her neck. He would hurt me, possibly kill me.

The only chance that I have right now is to kill her and then quickly bury her. Nex would think she had fled. No... I would tell him she must have fled. The worst that could happen is receiving a few punches and insults for not making sure she stayed. Nex wouldn't kill me for her leaving... right?

When the girl finally died, I let go immediately and watched her fall to the ground with a thump. I took a few steps back, away from her and then sat back down on the bed. I stared down at my hands. The hands of a killer.

I closed my eyes and took a few deep breaths. When I opened them again, I got up and walked over to the girl's crumpled body. I picked her up with slightly shaking hands and turned to walk out of the room. After opening the door, I walked down the hallway and down the stairs, passing Nex's room on the way.

When I told the girl the truth, I was hoping she would just leave. I even stated I would help her get out. But she declined. She wanted to stay here with Nex.

Throughout that whole confession, I hadn't actually lied. Everything I had said, happened. Noah, Josh, the little boy. It was all true. The only thing that I had sort of lied about was the bit on why I was helping her.

I didn't care about her at all. The only person I care about is Nex. He should be with me, not some girl he happened to kidnap.

"Matthias?"

I turned sharply around at the sound of my name. Standing at the end of the hall stood James. He looked at me and then when his eyes landed on the girl in my arms, his eyes seemed to pop out.

"W-what did you do?" He asked, pointing at the very dead human in my arms.

I was literally just about to put the girl on the ground so I could unlock the front door, when James snuck up on me. He had startled me so much that my heart was now pounding even more out of my chest.

I looked down at the girls open, glassed over eyes and blue lips and then looked back at James. "I don't know. She sort of just died."

I wanted to kick myself after those words left my mouth. How the fuck does someone just die?

James continued to stare at me with his eyes wide and his finger still raised in my direction. I'm not sure how long we stood there for, but I needed to bury the girl before Nex got home. I know he said he would be back way later, but I didn't want to take any chances.

"Don't tell Nex." I ordered James. "I'll just tell him she ran off."

James finally dropped his raised hand down by his side. "But what did you do?"

"She attacked me, and I had to deal with her."

He bit his lip slightly while his brows were tugged down in thought. "But she wouldn't have attacked you. She's not the attacking type."

"She wasn't the attacking type." I corrected him. "If you tell Nex, I will personally kill you myself."

I placed the girl on the ground, none too gently, and then took the key out of my pocket to open the door. After unlocking the door, I returned the key to my pocket and picked the girl back up.

"You're just going to bury her?" James asked with a sad tone to his voice.

I didn't bother turning around as I replied. "Yes. Now go back to your room."

I walked right out the door without waiting for a response. Once getting to the spot where we bury everyone, I threw the girl on the hard ground and picked up the shovel, hoping this would be the last grave I dig.
