ーevidently otiose

it's no more an astonishment that all my efforts-- my blood, sweat and tears
into explaining my parents that i have no such interest in the women
they've exquisitely handpicked for me to get betrothed to, has been evidently otiose
i seem to get tired every time i self loathe, so i today i lay down and think of what i love the most
you, it's you i think about
i reminisce over the days when we first met
in a dusty, old library-- the only library we had access to
and i being a wanderer found myself in the company of another
we were sat on two opposites seats but, our eyes found each other
i remember being excited to go to the library at all times
but just this once it wasn't the scent of the ancient books that swerved me off my feet
it was your presence, your gaze, your everything
it was you, i wanted to come and see.
