Chapter 26: Meeting My Parents

"Oh sweetie it's so good to hear you're voice again! I can't believe it's already been 4 months since you've been gone! And you're dad's barely surviving!" My mom says and I hear my dad Butt in "Don't Lie to her! You're the one that's barely surviving! You complain everyday about wanting to call her until I finally let you do it!" My dad says and I hear my mom blow a raspberry at him

"And you two call me the child..." I say as I playfully roll my eyes "That's because you are!" The both of them yell and I pull the phone away from my ear

We continue to talk and I fill my parents in on all that's happened, leaving out the part of me dating Luca and Alberto until the topic of dating does come up in our conversation

"So sweetie has anyone caught your eye?" My mom asks and I already know she's wiggling her eyebrows while smirking "actually mom yeah" I say and she screams into the phone which causes Machiavelli (the cat) to run out of the room and the others to stare at me and the phone with wide eyes

"Mom! Quiet down! You scared away Machiavelli!!" I yell at her and she quiets down "Well? Who is it?! What's his name! Or her name!" My mom says "That I'm not gonna tell you. End of story. Now time for you to meet my friends!" I say quickly changing

I motion for Giulia, Luca and Alberto to come over and they do so, Giulia's the first to take the phone and introduce herself

"Hi! My names Giulia and I'm Y/n's number one best friend!" Giulia excitedly says to my mom and they talk

"Should we tell your mom about us three?" Alberto asks me as he worriedly looks at Giulia and the phone nervously

"What was that thing you told me the first time I met you?" Luca asks as he puts his finger on his chin and looks up before turning to Alberto and smirking

"Oh yeah! Wasn't it along the lines of..." I say adding on to Luca's irony

"Silenzio Bruno!!" Me and Luca both say loudly to Alberto, not yelling so my mom doesn't hear, and he gives us an unimpressed look

Before he can say anything though, Giulia turns around and motions Alberto over to the phone, he gulps and slowly walks over taking the phone from Giulia

"H-Hello...?" Alberto timidly asks "oh u hi! My names Alberto and I'm one of Y/n's bo—" Alberto begins to say before I make a 'don't say it!' motion with my hands and he quickly changes what he was gonna say "Best friends as well!" He says before nervously laughing

"Phew!" Me and Luca say before laughing softly

A few minutes pass of Alberto being questioned, I could tell because he was saying a lot of semi-personal answers into the phone, it was Luca's turn

Alberto hands the phone to Luca and Luca immediately introduces himself and asks my mom her name, Alberto walks over to me and hugs me as I laugh

"Wow...was she that brutal with you?" I joke and he nods before nuzzling his face into my neck, I run my fingers through his hair as I hold him like the big baby he is.

"A-Alright..yeah! It was nice talking to you too...!" Luca says more timidly then he did whenever he first took the phone, I let Alberto go and walk over to Luca who has a scared look on his face

He hugs me tightly and does exactly what Alberto did and he exhaled a shaken breath, I run my fingers through his hair and put the phone to my ear

"Hey mom it's me again..." I say "oh good! I was hoping you would take the phone again. Now I interrogated those two boys that wer—" My mom says before I cut her off "Mom, I would appreciate it if you didn't do that to my friends because now they both look scared as shit!" I angrily say to her as I look back at Alberto and see he still looks scared

"I just wanna make sure that you're safe there!" My mom says and I just huff "Mom I am safe, and Luca and Alberto are two of the most sweetest guys I've met in my entire life...aside from dad" I say and I hear her chuckle "I know! And they seem to just wanna keep you safe, I trust you with them. And hey maybe you could even bring one home as your boyfriend~" my mom teases and I hear my dad scoff and tell her 'no way'

"Oh sweet sweet mother if only you knew" I think to myself "Alright mom, I gotta go. It's late here and I'm exhausted" I say "Alright, j love you sweetie! Sleep well and tell those boys I'm sorry for that" she says "Alright mom, bye and goodnight love you too" I say before hanging up the phone

"Alright you two, my moms sorry about all that. Now let's go to bed because you two look like you need lots of love and cuddles" I say as I look down at Luca, who's still hugging me, and over at Alberto who wastes no time standing up and walking over

We three head up to bed and Luca crawls in first, then me, then Alberto. They both immediately curl up and I gently trace circles on their backs to calm them down and help them fall asleep

"I Love you guys" I whisper

"We love you too"
