sometimes, I wake up in the morning and breathe in

the colorful songs of life as light filtered through the air

I clasp my hands and whisper thanks to those who are kind

and pray that others will find a way if they are ever lost

and I hope that the heartbroken will discover another way to trust

because I know, even in the darkest corners, it is a treasure they will find

I open my eyes to the bright world, the horizon stretching to God knows where

all I know is that I feel blessed in this world with what I've seen

it's truly whimsical to actually go out and experience the world

although there may be dark skies, it is still diamond studs of raindrops

there may be harsh winds but they only pass by to say hello

it's scary out there, that is true, but it is also wonderful, to be honest

imagine we are hatchlings of a bird, only in due time will we also leave our nest

some may leave immediately, some may take their time, some may fall below

below are where the failures and pain lay among the rocks
