It's been two weeks since Corbyn went missing.
2 Weeks ago:
I came home from physical therapy to find a note on the fridge. "The tapes, in the bedroom," was all it said. I spent hours looking through the bedroom to find these tapes. Eventually I found a box full of at least 100 cassettes. No one used cassettes anymore, except for Corbyn.
I grabbed the tape labeled "1" and put in the MP3 player. I immediately heard Corbyn's voice.
"Hey Y/n, it's me, of course..."
Another time jump...
One month earlier:
Corbyn POV:
"Hey Y/n, it's me, of course. I'm sitting next to you in the hospital. You've been in a coma for a week now. I miss you a lot. There's so much that's happened this past week and I wish I could tell you about all of it. The doctors don't know when you will wake up, and I can't remember everything, you know I forget a lot of stuff. So I've decided to record these cassettes with my stories for you to listen to when you wake up. It's not the greatest idea, since people don't use cassettes anymore, but I thought it was unique and vintage. You like stuff like that. But anyways, in the past week Daniel found a girlfriend! I know crazy. Her name is Franny. She's really nice, me and the guys approve. We also started getting ready to release our next album. It's coming out next month. I can't wait for you to hear it. Here I'll play a section of it for you."
I pulled out my phone and played a part of one of the demo songs, hoping the tape recorder would pick up the sound.
"It sounds awesome don't you think. I'm also sitting here, in the hospital, right next to your bed. It makes me feel like I'm actually talking to you, instead of to a tape recorder. I love you so much, and I can't wait for the day you wake up. When you do, we can go out to dinner or take a trip or watch a movie, anything you want to do, as long as I'm with you I don't care. Okay that's all for this tape. Until next time..."
I turned off the tape recorder, kissed Y/n's forehead and left the hospital. As I walked to my car I had an odd feeling that I was being watched. I shook it off, got in the car and started the ignition.
