Chapter Ten- 2021

~Poppy's point of view~

Daniel and I have been married over fifteen years. When he said he was, he was done. He has no desire to go back. We together have four kids. Three girls and a boy. Daniel is a very hands-on father. He is everything he was to me back in the day.

Avery has gotten a job and is married with his own child on the way. So he deals directly with Keith on his own now. However, when he does have an issue, Daniel does step in.

Just because he hasn't physically touched me anymore doesn't mean the mental abuse hasn't continued. In addition, someone keeps giving him my phone number when I change it. Finally, I got tired of changing my number and gave up.

I deal with it. He is still on TV all the time. When he feels the need, he will call or text to ask me if I miss him. Sometimes he will text me to tell me to watch the show and then do something he knows only I know. He will then question to make sure I saw him.

He also likes to send me random TikTok of him and his family. Sometimes Avery is in them. He plays him off as a family friend, and Avery is ok with that. He considerers Daniel, his dad, and that is all that matters.

I will look over my shoulder for the rest of my life. But, I know that he won't be afraid to strike if we are ever in the same place and he has the opportunity.

Keith is a living, breathing monster. I highly doubt that I am the only one he has done this to. I pray that I am. I do think I am the only one who had a child with him.

This is the one question I have had the whole time this has gone on. I know that I will never know the answer. I am not sure I want to know. I wouldn't want anyone to have to deal with the things I have.

Knowing what I have lived through has made me not interested in ever watching tv. People are never who you think they are.

King got married a year after Daniel retired. He still lives here, and we're still friends. His wife is aware of the situation and will defend our relationship if it's ever questioned.

He still appears on TV now and then. So, he hasn't completely walked away.
