We pull up to some sort of water whole hang out place.
"Are you guys here alone?" I ask, looking at Rue and then Alex.
"Yea." Alex answers.
The place that they made me drive them to has trees surrounding the water, allowing no sun to come in. There's rocks that are formed into a cliff that has water running down, giving the illusion of a mini waterfall. Stepping stones and rocks covered in moss are everywhere.
Rue gets out of the car with no hesitation. She goes over to one of the big mossy rocks, sets her bag down, and starts rummaging through it.
"Sorry about my sister." I look back and see Alex talking. To me. "She just has a hard time with people, you know. It's not you, she's just... I don't even know how to explain it."
"I didn't even notice." I say sarcastically. Alex purses his lips in a straight line, he lets out a sigh before turning back to me.
"Do you wanna join us?" He asks.
No.
"Will your sister be mad?" I answer his question with another.
"Why would she be mad?"
Because I told her to shut the fuck up when I had just met her.
"Isn't it too cold to swim?"
"This is heated. It sits under fire rocks or some shit." He laughs and pushes his hand through his hair.
What the fu- that doesn't even sound real.
"Look, you don't have too. I was just trying to be nice." He throws his hands up in surrender, and begins walking towards Rue.
I don't think they have a ride or any other way home. This place is in the middle of nowhere, I don't think a Taxi can come get them.
"Jesus, fuck." I mumble to myself, before catching up with him, taking long strides.
"Hey Rue, Nadine's gonna stay with us, that cool?" Alex asks. Rue is wearing a black, two piece bathing suit. The bottoms were high waisted, covering her belly button. Her top covered her breast, but gave a good view of cleavage. The straps were spaghetti and the edges were laced with a white lace fabric.
Rue looks up at us. "I guess," She shrugs her shoulders, but she doesn't seem too pleased. She begins to walk into the water, shooting a quick glance behind her shoulder.
"Hey, are you just gonna stand there or get in." Alex asks in all seriousness. He nudges my shoulder, but immediately says sorry."
IS IT WARM?" Alex yells at Rue.
Her head pops out of the water. She nods her head and says yes, putting a thumbs up, "Yea, if feels good."
"She's my tester, you know? So I don't get a cold." He says laughing.
"Yea, I definitely get it." I say with a glare.
Alex's laughter dies down, "Well, I'm getting in, so..." without saying anything else, he takes his shoes off, then his shirt, and then his jeans. He's left in a black pair of swim trunks, as he gets into the water.
"Fuck, what did I get myself into." I mutter. I take my dress jacket off and throw it to the side. My fingers swiftly unbutton my white dress shirt so that I'm now left bare. I feel my skin get cold as I take my pants off, leaving me in my boxers. I step into the water. The hot substance engulfs my body as I completely get in. What kind of witch craft is this?
Alex and Rue are splashing each other before Rue gets some water in her eyes and starts yelling at him to stop. They laugh about it when Rue tells him she's fine. Alex calls my name out and motions for me to go over to him. I visibly see Rue tense as I make my way over to them.
"Hey I'm gonna go call my mom and tell her where we are, I'll be right back." Alex says, leaving me. Alone.
