Ahh, freedom.
I stretched my wings out happily and let an updraft take me higher. Then I lazily circled back down to earth. Flying was the only thing that gave me true and unmarred pleasure.
After the meeting, I was shipped off to a house in the woods of Vermont. It was a good spot; not too far from the town, but enough that I had some privacy. Even though it was only the middle of July, the Elders had moved me right away. They wanted me to get settled into the town before school started, make some friends or whatever.

After about ten minutes, I got out and changed into a tank top and pair of cotten shorts, my night time wear no matter the weather or season. Sleepily walking towads my bed in the adjorning room, I flipped back thhe top sheet. Crawling underneath, I cuddled with my body pillow.
Thoughts whirled through my head as I slipped off to sleep. Former lives, my new home, the man in the woods... Wondering if I would be able to find a real friend, if I would fit in... If I could find peace...
