she just wanna talk

Chapter 5: Lani's Room

                                  Y/N's POV
as soon as i walk in, i see that Lani also has a lot of plants in her room. they're growing beautifully as well.

"make yourself comfortable, i'm gonna go get some chips real quick. do you want anything?" Lani asked

"could i get a water? please and thank you." i say

"for sure, i'll be back in a minute." Lani says as she heads out the door.

i walk over to Lani's bed and sit on it. i go on my phone while i'm waiting for her to come back. i hear her coming up so i quickly turn off my phone.

"here you go." she says passing me a water bottle

"thank you love." i smile

"so, when did you start making music?" Lani asked

"i started singing when i was 4, but i didn't start making music until i was 14. me and my friends used to have a little group called 'honey smacks'. i know, such a weird name, but we had a good time. we used to do shows for people at our school. we were doing really good until Jazz, the drummer moved out of state, then we were struggling to find a new one. then our guitarist, Mel had got diagnosed with cancer and was in the hospital 24/7. the bassist quit from all of the stress, so then it was just me and Jai. we've stuck with each other ever since and promised not to give up on each other or our dreams. i then started taking all of this seriously and eventually got signed. Jai is the lead singer of her band called 'BWIM' stands for Black Women in Music, i think it's really cool. we're both living our dreams and i couldn't be more proud for the both of us. i just started working on my debut album, the song that we recorded yesterday was the first one to be recorded for it, i'm glad that i get to work with such an amazing person for this project. i can't wait for it to be done." i went on to tell Lani

"wow. that's beautiful, you stuck to your heart and you're finally doing what you love. i like that you're passionate, keep it up. also, to be on your debut album is an honor, you're gonna grow and go so far, you have a gift. the more recognition you get, the more people are gonna love you and hate you. don't let the hate get to you. as long as you're satisfied with what you're doing in your life, their opinions won't get to you as much. trust me. you're a very talented, beautiful girl, don't let the GP (general public) take that away from you. if you ever need to talk about your mental health and how you're feeling, i'll always be here for you. okay?" Lani had a smile on her face

"okay. thanks for being so supportive, not many people have been supportive of me besides B and Jai, i appreciate you so much Kehlani, you're really something special." i smiled while looking at the ground.

i felt Kehlani rubbing my back and i see her looking at me with the biggest lust filled eyes i've ever seen. i look up and wrap my arms around her neck and i feel Lani quickly wrap her arms around my waist and hold me tight. i move a little to sit on her laps and she holds me even tighter. i put my head in between her neck and she laid her head on mine. we sat there for a couple of minutes in comfortable silence. she the moves her head and i move mine, we both start staring into each other's eyes. those beautiful honey brown eyes just do something to me. i start to smile and she smiles back at me and then, Lani's phone rang.

she broke the eye contact we had to check who it was and seemed really shocked.

"i'll be right back." she said

"take your time." i said

i then get off of her laps and unwrap my arms from her neck and let her go. i wonder who's calling her.

                                 Lani's POV
"i told you to stop calling me, what do you not understand about that?" i asked
