Loving Them
She was confident and fierce
And he was the opposite
Both were everything I needed
She was fall and fire personified
He was spring and the meadows and the sweetness that made me feel like the world wanted me
Both were the meaning of true love
Loving her made me feel like the fire she was
Loving him made me feel whole
Both made me more of myself
Loving her brought me visions of the future
Loving him taught me how to live in the present
Both taught me to never take love for granted
Loving them taught me things I never thought I needed to know
But most importantly
They taught me how to love
