Five years later

Being King of my own country was tiring and busy but I wouldn't have it any other way. I stood from my office chair and decided to walk along my courtyards. It took two and a half years to rebuild my castle and almost one and a half years to regain the trust of my people. I wandered into my garden carefully touching different flower petals as I walked. I heard multiple "Papa's!" followed by running foot steps. I turned just to be tackled to the ground by three fluffs of hair. Sitting up I saw the dirty gremlins I call children "have you guys been playing in the gardens again?" I laughed "yes and look at what we found" a boy with golden eyes and blonde hair said holding out his grubby hands holding a yellow bucket, I ordered into the bucket to find all sorts of bugs "oh cool, have your daddy and poppy seen them yet?" No not yet a girl with big brown eyes and hair said giggling "we wanted to show you first" another boy with piercing blue eyes and black hair said grinning "I feel honored, well let's go find them after you guys get a bath" I stood up pulling them with me "I don't wanna" they all whined at the same time. "Tae, Yoongi, and Lisa get back here right this instant!" A voice said coming towards us "Ah nanny Regina, how nice to see you today" I smiled "oh king Kozume, I'm sorry they got away from my sight" she apologized bowing "it's alright, I was going to come them anyways" I replied "could you please get them cleaned up for me and meet me in the lounge?" I asked letting go of Lisa and Tae's hands "of course your highness, come along children you all need baths" she ushered them inside while I laughed at their protests.
      "Where have you been all day?" Rin asked kissing my cheek when I sat beside him on the sofa in the lounge "I had a lot of paperwork to do and the children's birthdays are coming up so I'm writing out invitation ideas and Shoyo wants us to come to his son's birthday, Yams and Yachi are finally getting married and want us to be there, Dou and Ushiwaka are having their fifth anniversary and want everyone to be there, Sakusa's birthday is coming up and I want us to be there too and-" I was interrupted by Rin kissing me "even after five years you're still determined to do everything on your own, please for the love of all things holy get a secretary or let Samu and I help" he said holding my face with both hands. I sighed and leaned into his touch "I just feel like I have to do it all on my own because I'm the youngest king without a married queen. That is deeply frowned upon if you can't tell" I caressed his cheek "where is Samu anyways?" I asked noticing his absence "it's a secret" he placed a kiss to my forehead "where are our children?" He asked in return "bath time" was all I responded "ah Nanny Regina must be having fun, I told you we needed to hire three nannies. She's probably going to quit as well" I laughed "well we all agreed on no nannies remember? Look at how that turned out, we've had 10 nannies within the past 2 years" he had a faint smile on his face. "Papa! Papa!"  I saw our children falling over each other to get to us "oh poppy is here too! Hi poppy" Lisa said climbing onto his lap "hey babygirl, what are you guys up to?" Rin asked "uhhhh nothing" Tae grinned "we just need papa to come with us" Yoongi said grabbing my hands. I didn't hesitate to stand and follow them to the kitchen "why are we in the kitchen kiddos?" I asked "SURPRISE!" I almost had a heart attack, I saw everyone in the kitchen "it's a taking back the kingdom anaversary party" Lev exclaimed bring out a sloppy made cake "Lev helped the children make a cake" Rin whispered "Samu secretly made a cake as well that we can eat" he continued. I smiled at him "that was sweet of you guys" I knelt to our children's height "did you make this cake all by yourselves?" I asked "uncle Lev helped us a little bit but we decorated it" Tae giggled showing his green stained hands with Lisa and Yoongi showing their red and blue stained hands. I pulled them in for a hug "thank you babies, I love it" I kissed each of their heads "what are we waiting for? Let's dig in" Lev cheered taking a fork full of cake and making a face after tasting it. Everyone laughed at Lev's obviously horrible cake, Osamu came in with the actual cake a few minutes later "alright now everyone dig in!" He said gleefully. We all shared happy moments over the past five years and basked in our wonderful victory.

And that's how a duty for my family took me on an adventure and finding myself in the process. What happened to Kuroo you might ask? He was imprisoned back home with everyone knowing about it. Alisa took it the hardest because she had bore his child without anyone knowing. She and her child now reside with us as she is our new nanny and loves it. She still visits him every now and then but refuses to let him see their child. All in all my story is now over and a new chapter will start with the new generation.

I am bittersweet about this book coming to an end but I'm somewhat glad it's over and I just realized that I'll miss this book but oh well🤷🏽‍♀️ Kittybear out ✌️
