A few days had passed and it was finally time to put our plan into action "mousey please back out, I can't bare for you to get injured or worse" Rin started chewing on his thumbnail "what Rinny is trying to say is, Birdy we don't want you coming back in a coffin" Samu continued. Currently, we were in my room as I was getting dressed to be shown off to my people. I was wearing a chiffon knee-length white kalasiris* dress with a gold and red ruby wesekh* around my neck, sitting at my vanity Yachi braided gold beads and red ribbons into my hair, and finally, my black cat-eared headpiece was placed on my head and laced into my hair. "I will be fine, I will have a gun on me and everyone will be armed to the teeth. Honestly, I won't even be in one of the cars going on the main road" I turned to them giving them a smile "you look so beautiful Mousey" a teary-eyed Rin told me. "Just please come back to us just as pretty" Samu finished caressing my cheek. Yachi opened the door when we heard a knock "prince Kenma prince Shoyo is here to see you" she said hesitantly "let him in" I waved sitting back down at my vanity. Shoyo walked in looking frazzled and disheveled as Yachi left "you're actually leaving me?" He quizzed 'he's drunk' I thought "yes Sho, we want different things. I can't give you need and you want and you can't compromise on the things that I want and need." I urged him to listen to me "god you're so pretty Kitten and you really look like one too" he slurred walking towards me "thank you" I replied slightly leaning away. He leaned in for a hug and I almost gagged at the strong alcohol scent on him "how much did you drink?" I asked pushing him back "not much, just a bottle or two of Jack Daniel's and a bottle of Grey Goose" he smiled "Sho I'm surprised you're still standing" Samu said "that's too much to be drinking just to drink. Are you trying to kill yourself?" Rin accused "and what if I am? What's it to you?" He said getting louder, before they could argue further another knock was at the door "come in" I said seeing Bokuto and Akasshi walk in looking like they're modeling for a Gun Co. magazine "prince Kenma we are ready to leave when you are" Akasshi informed bowing "looking good Kenma, are these traditional?" Bokuto asked touching my headpiece gently. "Bokuto you can't just touch his headpiece like that" Akasshi said snacking his hand away "it's alright Akasshi and yes they are, they were my mother's and father's pieces," I said quietly "I shall meet you at the cars in about ten minutes?" I asked "of course" Akasshi replied dragging Bokuto from my room. "Where did Sho go?" I asked looking around for him "I guess he slipped out while Bokuto and Akasshi were here" Rin shurgged "I have to go now but I'll be right back here for you before you know it" I said launching myself into both of them "please come back for us and we'll help you pack up and get to a new life together" Samu mumbled holding onto me for dear life.
           The drive back to my home country was long and torturous. "I knew we should've flown" Bokuto said nervously "there's nothing we can do about it now Bokuto" Akasshi said patting his knee. In the four hours we've been driving I've realized Bokuto's love for Akasshi's attention, I've also realized that they aren't together yet. "Can we stop? I'm getting hungry and I need to stretch" I asked "of course, driver find an exit and a place for us to get food" Bokuto asked the driver while Akasshi let the other cars know what we're doing. Once out of the car I was surrounded on all sides by the men I brought with me "what would you like to eat? I'll go ahead and get it for you" Asahi asked "oh umm anything is okay but I would like a slice of apple pie and a milkshake to go with whatever you get me" I smiled, he nodded and left. "How close are we?" I asked Akasshi "only another hour and a half" he replied simply "ah alright" I yawned walking over to a picnic table nearby "I brought you food like you asked prince Kenma" Asahi said setting my food down Infront of me. I thanked him and began to dig into my pie before my food "Kenma your food is going to get cold" Akasshi scolded, I just pouted at him "no, no puppy eyes. Bokuto already tries and it doesn't work on me." He laughed looking over to said man talking with our driver and a couple of our soldiers "Akasshi do you by chance like Bokuto?" I asked carefully, he whipped his head towards me with wide eyes "w-what makes y-you think that? Of course I don't, it would be unprofessional" he stuttered out. I smirked "that's all I needed to hear, oh Bokuto could you come here for a minute?" I sang watching Akasshi's face turn to one of horror. "You wouldn't dare" he whisper yelled as Bokuto made his way to us "oh I would" I smirked biting into a fry "what did you need?" He asked stopping beside where I sat "I just wanted to talk to you, Akasshi could you go get my switch from the car please?" Akasshi nodded and left "so what do ya wanna talk about Kenma?" He asked sitting across from me, I put my elbow on the table resting my hand in it "I was just wondering if you liked Akasshi?" I tilted my head "yeah we've been best friends since childhood, if I didn't he wouldn't be my right-hand man" he said smiling. I laughed "no, no, I mean't did you like him romantically?" His smile dropped and his face turned red "yeah...yeah I do" he whispered looking down 'well that was easy' "well why don't you tell him how you feel?" I was genuinely confused about how they didn't notice their love for eachother. "It's more complicated than you'd think, yeah I'm in love with him but I am a man who has to rush into danger as it arises and I may not come back alive and I don't want that for him" he was almost in tears "I get it I'm a prince about to become king and I have to prepare for people always coming for my head, I love Samu and Rin but if I die I leave them behind to grieve over someone they've known less than a year" I hadn't realized when I started crying "Kenma your switch- why are you crying?" Akasshi asked concern written on his face "we were talking about the mission and all of the possibilities" Bokuto answered for me. We headed back in the car and as soon as we settled in I fell asleep almost instantly.
