"Thank you. Thank you." She said meekly. "Thank you very much. But... What about your son?"
She scowled at her. She hates it when she calls her son.
"Give it up. I already told your husband. My forgiveness is the only thing you will receive. So don't bother." She said with finality and she walked away from her presence.

Demilade stood in front of his mirror and stared at himself. He was wearing a white native. It was the color picked for the men for the event. When he was sure he was okay and there was nothing left to do, he walked out of the room.
He went downstairs to meet the driver and give him the key to the car he will be taking out for that day.
When he returned, Lola was yet to come down from her room. She had insisted on staying there to dress and he didn't bother arguing with her.
He looked at his iPhone watch on his wrist and frowned. He was running late for the Okoyes' party. And that was because of Lola. She had been in the room with Deborah when he returned from his gym room to check on her. She had promised she won't waste any time dressing. But that doesn't seem to be the case at the moment.
He was about to leave for the stairs when he saw her approaching, talking and laughing with Deborah. Deborah walked ahead of her when she saw him waiting and watching them from the bottom of the staircase.
She just smiled saying nothing and she walked past Demilade who was still ogling at his girlfriend following behind her.
"Wait, Debbie, I need to take another picture," Lola said loudly, stopping her on her track.
She looked between her and her boss that was staring impassively at his girlfriend at the moment. It was obvious he didn't expect that and he wasn't pleased with it either.
Demilade face-palms himself mentally. But he didn't complain. He was very sure that she had satisfied herself in her room after dressing. And he can't understand why she needs to take more pictures.
Although she was looking very gorgeous in her dress and makeup he didn't know the importance of all the photos. To him, it was unnecessary.
Nonetheless, he said nothing. He just watched as Lola smiled apologetically his way and walked over to a reluctant Deborah who kept glancing his way every second to see his reaction about what she was instructed to do.
When she noticed that he wasn't complaining, she took the phone from Lola with a small smile on her face. She whispered something to Lola's hearing and the two ladies giggled while Demilade just stared at both of them.
When she was satisfied, she took the phone from Deborah and thanked her. Then she walked over to her boyfriend who had been watching them.
"My baby is angry. Sorry, dear." She said pecking his cheek twice.
"Why won't I? We've wasted enough time here. Do you want Charles to behead me?" Demilade complained.
"I'm sorry, baby. Don't worry he won't do that while I am there."
"Why do you think so?"
"Many reasons."
"Whatever." He said rolling his eyes. "Let's go."
"But won't you take pictures with me?"
"Not now. Let's go." He told her.
"Ah ah. Not so fast. You are forgetting one thing."
