Y/n's laughing soon died down as the duo arrived at the Fryman place, looking to get some fries.
"Hey, how can I help – Oh! Y/n, its nice to see you again." Mr Fryman said with a smile. "What can I do for you?"
"Its nice to see you too, could I just have two packs of fries?" Y/n asked, getting ready to pull out the necessary amount of money for the order.
"Coming right up!" Mr Fryman told, turning his back to the order window and focusing his attention on the deep-fat fryer.
It didn't take Mr Fryman long for him to finish the two orders of fries, quickly handing the orders to Y/n. "These are on the house, for helping me fix the fryer." Mr Fryman told with a genuine smile of appreciation.
"Thank you! Its what I do best, so if you need me again, let me know!" Y/n smiled, passing one of the bags of fries to Amethyst.
Y/n waved goodbye to the man, walking to a nearby bench to sit down. "So are you famous or something? Getting fries for free." Amethyst teased, shoving a handful into her mouth.
"Nah." Y/n chuckled, following Amethyst's example, and eating a handful of fries. "I just fix a load of peoples problems."
"Oh boy does that sound familiar ..." Amethyst snickered as she saw Garnet talk to Jamie while Steven, and Connie stood not far behind.
"Least she's talking to him." Y/n commented as Garnet patted Jamie on the back before she walked off to the temple.
Amethyst ate the last few fries and the bag, burping in satisfaction. "Those hit the spot."
"You want anything else? You can eat like a freaking whale, I'm sure you're still hungry ..." Y/n chuckled, finishing his last few fries as well.
"Nah I'm good." Amethyst sighed. "Oh, forgot to tell you ... Pearl wants to see you, something to do with Peridot's escape pod."
"Cool, I'll make sure to bring Pair with me." Y/n nodded as the two sat comfortably, watching the peaceful ocean attack the beach, but soon retreat.
"Can I ask you something? ..." Amethyst said shyly, breaking the brief silence that was there.
"Course, anything." Y/n reassured.
"What do you ... think of me?" Amethyst asked, subconsciously needing some form of appreciation.
"I think you're great! You're unique! Really!" Y/n complimented.
Amethyst blushed, rubbing the back of her neck. "Thanks, but ... You haven't met another Amethysts ... Y/n I'm ... defective."
"So? ... I don't know everything about gems, but I don't think it should matter that you're defective." Y/n said, trying to comfort the poor purple gem.
"Its just that ... I feel like everyone thinks differently of me because of it." Amethyst told, tearing up slightly.
"I doubt that. I mean, I'm a human, they definitely don't think any less of me, do they?" Y/n countered with a question.
"No, course not!" Amethyst answered quickly.
"And lets be real, when I first met Garnet, and Pearl, they didn't really like humans all that much ... more Pearl than Garnet." Y/n said, earning a confused look from Amethyst.
"Yeah ... So?" Amethyst prodded, wanting to know the point of what he was saying.
"They don't think any differently of me, so why should they think differently of you?" Y/n smiled as Amethyst finally realised what he was trying to say.
"I ... Yeah, Thanks Y/n." Amethyst smiled, feeling better about herself.
"You're welcome." Y/n patted the small gem on her head, eliciting a giggle to erupt from her as they continued looking out into the, seemingly, endless ocean.

Y/n walked into the temple, quickly placing Pair on the floor. "Oh, Y/n! I'm glad that you're here!" Pearl told.
"As per your request." Y/n chuckled. "I brought Pair too, you said something about the escape pod?"
"Ah, yes, follow me." Pearl ordered, turning around so she could walk up to the temple door with Y/n, and Pair in tow.
Pearl stood in front of the door, and before Y/n could ask what was going to happen, her gem shined, revealing her room which was filled with towers made out of water.
"Woah ... That's pretty cool." Y/n commented as the three entered her little domain.
"Yes, I do try and keep it in excellent condition." Pearl giggled as the door closed behind them, leaving the three on the only dry spot in the room.
Looking to his right, Y/n was quick to see the escape pod, quite a bit of damage was dealt to it after the Crystal Gems started attacking. "So, what're you planning on doing with it?"
"Well, I wanted to see if the pod could somehow track Peridot, or even give us an idea on how these things work." Pearl said as the three inspected the pod,
"Alright ... Pair could you scan the pod for me?" Y/n asked, causing Pair to beep in affirmative, and soon after, a bright blue light scanned the broken-down pod.
Pair soon beeped, showing what was wrong with the pod, greatly surprising Pearl. "He's so intelligent ... That makes our job a lot easier, doesn't it?"
"It does indeed." Y/n smiled, bending down to get a better look at the wiring on the inside. "The wiring seems pretty simple, shouldn't take too long to get it fixed."
"Excellent! Do you need anything?" Pearl asked, not wanting to be left out which was pretty rare.
"Nah, but you can look at the console for me, see if anything comes up while I'm working on it." Y/n told, earning a hum in response as Pearl climbed into the pod, studying its interior.
The two stayed silent for a bit, the only thing that could be heard was Pair's beeping, and Y/n's grunting as he tried to piece the wiring back together.
Thankfully, Y/n broke the silence first. "I spoke to Garnet about Peridot ... She thinks Peridot might try and hide in the Kindergarten." Y/n informed.
"I suppose that makes sense, of course it's the only place on Earth that she'd feel more comfortable in ..." Pearl mumbled.
"Yeah, but like I told Garnet, she's injured so its sure to slow her down ..." Y/n started, quickly getting distracted by some of the somehow tangled wires. "I doubt she'd hide somewhere so open, and one of the main places we'd look."
"That is true – Oh! The console is lighting up!" Pearl claimed, pressing some buttons to search through the various files that were stored on there.
"Do you happen to have any duct tape?" Y/n asked as Pearl continued searching through the system.
"I do!" Pearl smiled, reaching into her gem, and pulling out a roll of duct tape to pass to Y/n.
"Thanks." Y/n told, taking the duct tape and pulling some off, wrapping it around the wires.
Y/n soon stood up, and looked at Pearl. "The wires should be fine, and the damages that you guys did to it doesn't seem like much to worry about." Y/n told, investigating the physical damages caused by the gems, all of them had hit the top of the pod which held no circuitry whatsoever.
"Wonderful! I'll continued working with this, but you're welcome to head home if you'd like." Pearl said, her gem glowing to open the door once again to the beach house.
"Nah, I think I'll stay here with you, this pod is pretty interesting." Y/n admitted.
Pearl smiled. "With me and you working together, I'm sure we'll find Peridot in no time!"
